america blows

Do you realize how many men died fighting for this country so you can have your freedoms? That post it total disrespect to everybody that has ever served in our military.

If you don't like it, pack your shit and get the hell out, nobody will miss you and your anti-American attitude!

Justin, not saying I don't agree with you, I was in the military and got out almost 2 years ago, but please tone it down a little.

Goes for everyone, clean it up a bit and don't bash where people are from or prefer to live. I debated going to school in Canada. I don't live in a perfect place but I live well and it sucks here at times, but it has its upside as well. I don't want to be forced to lock this up. It started out as a decent thread

I pay about $100/month but because I work for a smallish company it costs more. Bigger companies tend to be cheaper. Family insurance might be like $230. If someone is spending $800/month for insurance they're getting shafted. And my overall deduction percentage isn't even 30% not counting 401k contribution so I don't know where those numbers come from. I have lots of customers I've talked at length with in Canada about taxation and such and Canada definitely takes a bigger bite, especially in the eastern provinces but y'all seem to get more shit from it- like your govt is a bit better at spending the tax dollars but then again it's the US that keeps the bad guys overseas in line. This budget crap is complex.

Ya lolololol we will fight, but say sorry after. USA doesn't keep bad guys at bay LOL, they start wars and NEVER leave, all for profit. War=money. Doesn't take a brainiac to figure that out.

Either way, not one country is better than another. Cabana/USA are both beautiful countries, some good some bad points. I personally love goin down past the line, only thing I don't like is the big cities. People are just plain ignorant... I grew up only 1 hour from the border of northern Minnesota. Americans are really nice people, it really is a great country. But some people need to realize that their country whether Canada or USA isn't the greatest...saw this on my Facebook te other day from an American friend..

Well when I can drive an hour south, cross the border into Watertown ny and buy a case of beer for half of what I pay here, convert the gas, the us is still under a dollar per litre... When we pay 1.20+. Vehicles are quite a bit cheaper there. That 60k Cadillac... Yeah prolly 90 here. Just saying, we get nailed with taxes everywhere and high taxes. But again, I grew up with it, I'm used to it.

You should post some window stickers. Have seen or read where guys buying what ever top end half ton pick up there & sticker for about what a three quarter ton diesel does state side. Now, some of the discounts are insane, but the initial sticker price is jaw dropping.

My buddy just paid $80k taxes in for a duramax Denali DRW, that's in Alberta too. In Ontario add another 7% tax. My woman's 12' equinox It's an lt2, NAV, back up cam, GFX package, undercoat, 6 year bumper to bumper factory warranty. $35,000...

My neighbour picked up a brand new king ranch f-350 SRW for $78,000...

Vehicles, rv's, boats, sleds, quads, dirt bikes...usually 25% cheaper across the border even after border fee's...

A few years ago a friend of mine was hauling cars from Phoenix AZ to Sweet Grass MT every week. They were generally classic or luxury & the buyers all said the same thing, it was cheaper to import them than to buy them up there.

If you think the US is the greatest country on the planet to LIVE in your wrong. I'm not trying to bash the US but it is not the best country to live in. I'm not even going to say Canada is the best to live in.

I dont even think in the world opinion the US makes top 10 on many different top 10's. I'm not saying the US isn't good to live in, but no way in hell is it the best to live in and that is a fact.

If you think it is the best that would be your opinion at best not a FACT

Guess I'm wrong then, isn't the first time won't be the last.

How many countries have you lived in? Just wondering from experience you know this FACT or just from what you read on the interweb.

Well it has got to be true if it was on the internet. You know that...

Everyone has pride in their home country as they should.

Every country will have its pros and cons. Some have more pros than cons as well. I'll agree it sucks that everything seems to be more expensive but in the end, I'm proud to be Canadian. I'm glad we have our health system even if it isn't the greatest at times and I'm glad to have our us neighbours to the south of us since they provide a lot of protection for our country and some entertaining reality TV. But our beer is better, maybe that's why we pay a premium

Ahah ya our beer is most deff better, cig's too...but we also have to pay $45 bucks for a flat of beer and $12 a pack for smokes LOL...

USA is good for truck parts, cheap shop labor and approachable woman LOLOLOLOL

and you guys love oil. Which is good for me!!

I'm glad someone watches those awful shows and keeps the studio in business. Surprised you get that stuff already- I thought Canada just got rebroadcasts of shows from the 1980s.

I do envy your poutines though! Love that stuff.

Every country/state/province/city has its pluses and minuses and I'll leave it at that.

We have a restaurant here in town that you'd really like Mike because all they serve is poutine.

    • My truck is a ¾ ton but my placard also says 80 for the rear tires, I think I might have the upgraded suspension to the 3500 series maybe.   I put my air down to 60 and the light was still on, and there was no way I was putting over 60 psi in the rear empty and not towing because I knew the actual number Toyo gave me and I didn't wanna ruin the center of my tires!   And you actually can change it in the settings from metric or is and it will show kph or mph then when you go into your tire settings it will be either psi or kpa, but it would be nice to just change it directly on the tire psi page
    • Common Sense Assembly   Your driveline is forgiving of the occasional mistake. It will even often forgive the random serious blunder. But it will not forgive a continuous bad habit.      What? Not everything needs to be a five thousand word essay.
    • We drove about 15 minute east today to visit a friend and saw a steep increase in price in the same county. About 50 cents a gallon steepper.
    • Sure about that? A degree wheel and a dial indicator would lower your degree of assurance in that statement. 😉    It why we have offset keys and dialable timing sprockets. Just say'n.... I've built a few and have never seen one "On the money".
    • I will admit I haven't experimented much with pressure drops beyond the numbers I put in and part of that is that the numbers I used are fairly low and then found out it would trigger regardless at that 35 psi. Having said that I had tried before had changed the placard pressures and being that I have a 1 ton set to 80 on the placard for the rear I believe it triggered close to 60, the front I don't recall now for sure but thought maybe it could get close to 45 from that factory 60 placard pressure. So I never did figure out if it was a number of psi from placard pressure to the alarm or a percentage of the total placard number as some figured it was like a 25% drop from placard pressure would trigger it. So as to try and answer your question, I believe I set the placard pressure on the front to 47 or so and while I run the front tires at 40, they have dipped below that some if its colder and I haven't put "winter air" in yet and never once have had the front alarm go off. I would say that the answer your looking for is no, that if you set your placard pressure to 45, you have a certain amount of room to drop below that pressure before the alarm will go off.    The pressures you decide to run in your truck, that ends up being what makes sense to you based on what your carrying in your truck or if towing, then have to bump them back up to something that will carry the load in the rear and the fronts typically left at the same pressure. It all comes down to that chart I put the link to and using an accurate roadside scale to be your guide, both unloaded and then loaded to know your minimum safe pressures.    I just wish GM would allow a person to change the readings for the tire pressures to the English system of pounds as I have to look at that goofy metric reading that will never ever jive in my head and will go over and change it just to figure out what they are if need be and then change it back.
