Part chrome, all truck.

Introducing the all-new 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country. It’s the Silverado we gave everything to so you can do anything. Exhibiting true, refined ruggedness, High Country features a powerful 5.3L EcoTec3 V-8 engine along with unique chrome wheels and an exclusive Saddle brown premium leather interior, which you won’t find in any other Silverado. Added chrome exhaust tips, chrome door handles and a chrome grille insert along with body-color front and rear bumpers outline its bold stance. But we didn’t stop there. A power-sliding rear window, remote start, touch-screen radio with Chevy MyLink, halogen projector headlamps, Rear-Vision Camera system, and a trailering package, just to name a few, put this truck above all others. Available fall 2013.

It has great leather. As for the ugly rims(probably clad), plastic fake chrome handles, and the over emphasized High Country emblem; no thanks. Sad that this is what they think high end buyers want.

If I were Chevy I would offer the High Country with the unique leather(as they are doing), deployable running boards, unique dash like the Denali, and maybe some sort of premium HC only service(like a special maps app or music app on the display).

Still believe rear air is a must as well as no exhaust from front seat on your freaking leg and crotch area.

They must be hiring all the Dodge guys that were fired when they switched to Ram. Come on GM.

Have you seen a Platinum F150? Over the top crap is apparently popular with people who can blow lots of money on trucks.

That said the cooled seats do sound as though they need fixing if what Won reported is accurate. Never had anyone complain about lack of air in the back of mine and there were tons of 100+ degree days here last summer.

As bad as I dislike current Ford styling, I don't see the Platinum Edition as over the top though. Sure that tailgate may be a little excessive, but the truck overall looks better than the regular F150s. The wheels are nice on it and it has the nice Amp Research style boards. Interior is unique and nice too.

One of my clients has a PE F150, who also owns a Ford dealership, but I have ridden many times in it.

The door handles are IMO better than this chrome imposter handles GM is trying to pass off. I am partial to paint. I like the painted bumpers on the HC. Why not stay with that theme instead of throwing in all the crappy plastic chrome trim and badges. One on the tailgate or grille would be sufficient.

I guess we're all looking at different things. I'd never own a truck with running boards to begin with. But I'm not the target for those trucks, I just hope I can order a 6.2 without all the lux crap I don't want.

It's too bad they require you to order the SLT trim for the 6.2. I would have been happy with an SLE trim and saved like 4k.
