2014+ Suspension Lifts

Just an opinion but if I were you and I wanted to run a 33" tire I would look at the 4" BDS lift. I think your truck would perform very well and look fantastic.

Looking for some input, if you have a negative comment don't even bother. This is my first vehicle and this is what I could afford, 14 Silverado 2wd v6 with the 3.23 gears. I read pretty much all the threads. I like how lifted trucks look and I'm currently on a level with 33s and the truck performs just fine. I want to do a 6"lift but keep my 33s. I know this gear ratio isn't the best to go with 35s and honestly I don't have money to throw like that. Will adding a 6" lift have a big effect on my truck? Like messing up the gears or does that only get damage when trying to push bigger tires? What are the cons of doing this to this particular truck? Thanks in advance

I have a 2014 lifted with Rough Country 7" and 49K miles and no stabilitrac issues at all

 

Is your truck an early 14 model? It's seems, by what I'm reading, that later 14 models and 15 models have been having issues with stabilitrac. Maybe slightly different programming? Not sure......

 

I haven't seen where Pro Comp owners have been having any problems with stabilitrac by what I've read. I guess it could be that they haven't chimed in if they have.

Just read the thread where owners of lifted trucks and bigger tires were having issues with stabilitrac. I noticed (could've missed something though) that owners with rough country, BDS, and custom lifts had these issues and that the alignment / possibly the stabilitrac sensor wires were pinched/stretched were the most likely causes. One owner contacted Rocky Ridge and RR felt it was stretched sensor wires causing the problems. Others seem to have corrected the issue by having their truck aligned properly.

 

I posed the question in that thread and I'll pose it here also because many different types of lift makes are represented here; are Pro Comp 6" lift owners having an issue with stabilitrac?

thats what my problem was, at full turn lock to lock the wires where being pulled apart causing the stabilitrac issues, after cutting the try wrap off and let the wires hang I've never had any other problems

In the rough country kit I just installed they tell you how to get more slack out of the front and rear wires. Before I put my truck back together I turned the steering too full lock in both directions to make sure I had slack at full droop.

Great looking truck! That makes me want to go back to chrome wheels, I think the tire size gets lost with the black wheels. I like the coloratched door handles, and mirror caps also. What are the specs on your wheels, I might push mine out a little more, just my preference. Keeping them tucked in helps keep the truck clean, but I prefer a little wider stance.

Strange, that's exactly the same specs on the wheels I have. Must be the angle of the photo.

As long as you buy and install a quality Hub Centric spacer they are fine. I have 1.5" spacers on my rear hubs to correct the track width and after >7k miles I have had zero issues.

I don't think you will fit 37s with that, I have 9" suspension and had to add 1.5" body to fit 37s and still rub some. But I also have 22x14 so I'm sure that is a big factor
