VinnieB109 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Just bought my truck last week. 2015 GMC SLE, 20" wheels 35x12.5 tires 6" fabtech lift. It doesn't happen all the time but most times while I'm turning (not turning as in changing lanes, more so turning off a street) and on the gas the traction control kicks in and the gas pedal shudders. I've been reading a lot about vibrations in the steering wheel and gas pedal when reaching a certain speed (I don't have that issue) but no so much of my issue. Anybody else have this issue with their lifted truck?

dpassmo Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Fuse 36.. truck looks great. Glad it fixed the rubbing issue 1
Robert.jean1 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I told you I purchased the 1.5" spacers and because I stayed with the stock SLT 20" rims the spacers worked perfectly. I measured the track difference F to B right at 4". Spoke to Lenny @ Motor Tech/Bora and he recommended 1.75" to clear factory studs with no trimming. He was spot on! Robert.jean1 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Which spacers did you go with? Also, can you ask the shop if any trimming was required for the spacers? I mean trimming the studs at all I asked the shop and watched them install and there was zero trimming of my studs. There are pockets in the stock rims so even if the studs stuck out a little it still wouldn't have mattered. Sent by a simpleton struggling to operate an iPhone. 1

Roader Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Pretty dang happy with the way it turned out. Sent by a simpleton struggling to operate an iPhone. Looks good, what all did you go with?
Robert.jean1 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Looks good, what all did you go with? I went with the 6" BDS lift and thank you. 1
DKZ71 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Looks fantastic! Exactly the look I am going for too. Can you tell me which BDS system you ended up with? Any further comments? Also if not too much trouble, can you tell me tires and how do you like them? Fender measurements would also be helpful to me if you could. Thanks.
Robert.jean1 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I chose the BDS 6" basic kit and then the upgrade to Fox Shox. The tires I went with were Firestone Destination MT in 35/12.5R20 and added a set of 1.5" hub centric wheel spacers to correct the track width. The lift is awesome and seems so far to ride better, of course because I did have 2.5" rough country level. The tires are the best part though 1. They are uber aggressive looking 2. They are cheaper than any other tire I was able to find 3. They have some of the best reviews against all tires when looking for MT tire reviews. Front fender height was 39.5 and now 43.5 Rear fender height was 40.5 and now 44.5 I am really glad I stayed with my SLT chrome 20"s cause I absolutely love how my truck turned out and I think the tires stick out just the right amount. Spate47 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 That looks great? How are your angles and do you have a straight side shot to see how it sits? I drop mine off Wednesday to have the 6.5" Zone installed. I'm keeping the stock GMC 18s but opted to go with a 295/70 Cooper STT which is just over a 34. Have you had any rubbing issues? Those chrome stockers look incredible. I'm a sucker for the stock/lifted look.
559Sierra Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 After months of searching through threads and finally settling on exactly what I wanted to do I pulled the trigger on the Zone 4.5" lift for my 2014 GMC Sierra SLE. So far I love it and the ride quality is close to stock. Wheels are Procomp 20x9 +18 with 35x12.5 Toyo AT2 Extremes. No rub that I have noticed yet but they are pretty tight! I will be putting 1.5" wheel spacers on the rear this week to even the track width. 4

My angles look good to me and with the stock wheel I have plenty of room with zero rubbing. It rained pretty heavy here this morning and plan to get it muddy tonight and will see it has full travel and no rubbing. I'm sure it won't be an issue though cause there is plenty of clearance around the tires. 1
Robert.jean1 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I really like how that turned out. Super sharp ride you have.
