Would you buy a truck with 700 miles on it?

I wouldn't mind it. I bought my 07, in 08 with 300 miles. I figured about 10-20 people test drove it and brought that up with the dealer. I got more for my trade and line-x over the rails as a trade-off. 64k on the clock and no issues to this day. If you can get a litff, sweet. If not, not the end of the world. Good luck!

Like most have said, the odds that's there's something wrong with it are pretty slim. A lot of car companies run brand new cars hard on a dyno or track minutes after they're built, so break-in periods are now a debatable issue. I drove my '07 like I stole it from day 1 and after 80k miles, never had a mechanical issue.

Definitely, like previous posts, try to play the "used" card and you should be able to get a little extra off.

If you are financing it might not be worth it, I know in Canada the best rate you can get for a used vehicle is bank interest rate. Usually around 5-6% with good credit. If you could find a brand new one @ 0% financing probly better off to get a new one.

 

But if ur paying cash, you'll end up with a brand new truck for cheaper than sticker price. Save the money on interest.

For a truck to be considered "used" it has to have been titled to a person or a company at least once. This truck hasn't. Sounds like it's been used as a demo by the dealership and has never been titled...

When we brought our Blazer they found one like we wanted but it had 1100 miles or so if I remember right. They didn't consider it a demo. Once the wife found out it had a few miles on it that was it. So we had them find another one. I wouldn't be afraid of a few miles on it myself.

The highest miles on a new one that I have bought was 3 miles, but I wouldn't be afraid of 700. I would just want some additional money off.

Are you sure about that? I signed a paper that stated how many miles where on the truck when I purchased it. I would think that way they have record for his 36k warranty. I would think that is 36000 miles or 3 years from the date AND miles that you received it new from dealer.

I bought a "Program" truck which is one that is used by GM for what ever reason, it had 900 miles on it when I got it. On the sales contract the warranty ends at 36,900 miles or three years from date of purchase of 12/31/2012. The truck still had a MSO no title to it yet. Just my exprence.

I bought my truck with 220 miles on it as it was a dealer sawp. Never had a problem with that. As for the warranty. Mine started at 220 and went to 36220 or 3 years.

Believe me gents, I have bought a brand new GM vehicle before. Had 1000 miles on it as it was driven up from Texas, I said the same thing and called GM. Was told by GM that the B2B is up to 36,000 miles and start date is from the time the original purchaser is loaded into the in service date in GMVIS.
