2014 Bose system with 40/20/40 front seat - details

I definately want the 40/20/40 front split bench seat. Could anyone provide details on the optional $500 Bose option?

I know it comes with a subwoofer if you have a center console. Is the $500 Bose option with the split bench just 6 Bose speakers with no subwoofer? Does it also include a more powerful amplifier to drive the 6 Bose speakers?

Maybe a owner or GM rep can provide in depth details?

I can't find a straight answer to this.. In years past the little sub came with all Bose systems. Now for the 2014, I understand the sub only comes with the Denali . The 2014 STL / LTZ trucks (non denali) that have Bose don't have the sub.

Does anyone know for sure?

Cool... so my A/T will have a little cheap sub included. I plan to add a 12in sub in the first week so I guess it doesn't really matter in my case.

Uh, I couldn't grow large enough balls to start tinkering with our new trucks wiring. After years of putting up with factory sound with our '08 Chevy, I finally did a audio upgrade.

You doing the wiring, or leaving it to a professional??

Question remains if the 40/60/20 front seat and Bose option is speakers only or includes an amp to run the door speakers?

If an amp is included the I will prob get Bose if its just speakers then they need to lower the price

I'm guessing it's just speakers.

Since you guys brought up the topic, I'm kinda curious what size the sub is in the console. It's gotta be small looking at the schematic Motomedic posted a couple weeks back. Don't get me wrong, it actually sounds pretty good.

Plenty of help info here:

that's cool.. it has it own little Bose box. In years past it was 6in sub. I don't know.. it could be an 8in in the 2014.

Can someone post how the 2014 Bose compares to old 2007-2013 ??

Under one side of the back seat.. 1 single low profile sub, custom made box http://www.jlaudio.com/car-audio-subwoofer-drivers-tw3

Please post your install or at least finished sub. I still have my dual 10" JL subs in my regular cab and they still sound great! Even after 15 years! Wow now I feel old

I had a 2009 with a console and the new truck sounds way better. When I had the warranty issue the loaner truck had the bench seat with Bose and it sounded like the 09.

thanks. If the new truck Bose is that much better, I may just leave it alone for the interim anyway...

Time to transfer the sub from the old truck to the new one... lol
