01 2500HD Shifter Problem

Hi, when i go to shift my truck from Park to Drive or any gear its very stiff, im just wondering what it could be, and what it would require to fix it?

Thanks! it snapped unfortunately, i got a little mad when it wouldnt go back into reverse, had to drive home in 1 at 20mph

  Didn't I read where if Gm does the valve body on the "Allison", you get a 10yr/150k warranty? Kinda wish mine has a minor blip around 24k. Get a free trans service, and a pile of warranty.
