Apparantly on the 2014's if you download the app during your free trial of OnStar, you can keep using the remote unlock/start features once your trial expires. You get it for 5 years!

I saw this as well. I thought that fairly solid of them to do.

There has always been a delay. It isn't instant like the commercials show. It's always taken a minute or three for it to process.

No satellite involved. OnStar uses Verizon towers I believe.

i did have one... back in 2003... lol. I actually heard their new smartphone was pretty good though. But unfortunately it's way too late for blackberry to be what they once were. They are the #1 text book example of what happens when a company becomes complacent. I just can't see them ever competing with Iphone and android. ok.. now back on topic...

I am the OP, so I don't mind to digress. The Z10 is a great phone, better than the current "cute" I fones,. If the media would get off their Apple thrones and cut BB some slack it would sure help. BB won't be the force they once were, but they are a very good option from cheap vanilla ice cream and Korean made materials.

Technology advancements happen so quickly, I am not envious of those competing...

My Onstar app no longer works after the sept 11 update was applied. Won't take my user I'd password. Only breaks after that update is installed. If I delete app and reinstall it installs the older version and works. I am running ios 7 GM.
