You are short one wiring harness. There is an additional jumper harness in addition to the two door harnesses on early build trucks (you have 6/14 as your build).

Do you happen to know what the harness # is I replaced both door harnes's and mirrors I can hardwire the lights but not sure what wires do what. Thanks for responding.

23387133. Any local GM dealer should be able to print you the instructional for it. Doc ID number is 4209433.

So curious not looking to flame or anything. What is the appeal of the tow mirror over regular mirrors? Outside of towing. Better visibility? Can they fold in automatically?

Better view when towing, also imho the stock mirrors are too damn small.

the stock mirrors looked nice but when I had a camper in tow I had a lot of trouble seeing to change lanes. They worked fine with my car trailer and my utility trailer though. The tow mirrors definitely make a bit of noise on the highway and don't fold them in over 75 as they wont fold until your under 65. ( I found that out the hard way). sunroof does the same thing at speed.

Towing a big yes and also blind spot view. It took some time for me to get use to the tiny circle on the 1500. My 2500HD had that big convex on the bottom and it showed everything.

It kinda blows my mind how hard it is to find a GM truck optioned with the tow mirrors and how expensive they are to buy them outright. The only reason I have a truck is to tow my travel trailer. Funny almost every GM truck has a tow package but GM has forgotten to safely tow you have to be able to see behind. I use the molded slip on type when towing but wouldn't be nice if you could at least extend the regular mirrors.

I thought all NHT (Max Trailer) came with tow mirrors?

I prefer mine to the smaller size even when not towing. The lower section lets me see the Miata beside me much better than the small mirrors.

I believe they do. The problem in finding an NHT. There was only one in Ontario when I was looking and it was way out of my price range. What gets me is you are almost guaranteed to find the Max tow at any Ford dealer around here. GM dealers here say they are not popular so they don't order them. I guess most people who tow here buy Fords. I wanted to add them to my current truck but at $2K no thanks. The $100 slip ons are better than nothing but don't hold a candle to a factory tow mirror.

Interesting. I found a fair number of Max trailer trucks in BC. I found Max tow at the Ford dealer, but not with the Max Payload. I would have wanted both before I picked up a Ford.

I ordered the tow mirror accessory and the door harnesses, however the online store sent me a 23342715 in lieu of the 23171566 for the passenger door. The new harness was $16 cheaper but I am hesitant to install it if I can't verify that it truly is the correct one.

They said it is covered under warranty if defective but when asked if they will replace it if it's the wrong one, I was told only if it hasn't been installed.

I don't feel like ripping a door apart just to look. Any one out there that can verify that part number 23342715 does supersede 23171566?

This vendor says it's a replacement.

So this weekend I installed the 465 and 467 mirrors. Darn expensive but well worth it when towing and being able to fold in. I had a partial box of Dynamat from my last car build and thought I would see how much difference it makes. Installed in both front doors directly on the door skin. It was quite before but sounds even better. Going to do rear doors this week. I know I'm anal about road noise but will be towing a travel trailer across country from west to east coast this summer and will Help the long drive.

Well I have had my mirrors installed for almost a year now by yours truly on a 14' Silverado LT, I have all the functions hooked up and working but as most of you know I had to hard wire most of it and intall a switch for the power fold since the LT's are not wired for these, however I only hooked up the turn signal to the amber LED's and now want to make them both running and turn, I have seen a couple threads using two relays and I remember seeing one thread talking about using a diode and capacitor to make the LED's light up half bright for running lights then bright for turn but cant seem to find that one again, anyone have any suggestions on which route to take which is easiest for a hard wired set up, and the only thing left I need is where to run the running light signal from so since I'm already wired in I just need to add the running light signal to the turn signal wire with the diode and capacitor, just need numbers on them and running light location and I should be good to go, if not I'll try the relay option which seems easy but takes up more room, I'll keep reading hoping to find that thread again but until then hope someone here has done the same.

    • I am having similar issues.. 08, 4.8L granted I did had a fender bender and minor damage up front passenger side but I don’t think it had anything to do with it.. I had the high and low pressure checked and my fan for my radiator keeps coming on.. replaced the pressure switch and don’t want to keep throwing parts at it. I did have some minor problems here and there like on long road trips sometimes the ac would get a little warm and then on the highway as soon as I give it a little gas or get a little heavier on the petal it started running cooler. Never had an issue with the ac besides the here and there.. but I also started having issues when I fuel up now it takes a bit to start ( super embarrassing) it runs fine and once started ( only happens after fueling up) starts fine any other time. Could they be related?
    • Spent a small fortune on fuel this weekend.   $6.69 diesel, 18 gallons of that. $6.99 92-octane ethanol free, 10 gallons of that for yard machines $5.59 87-octane for one of the cars, 11 gallons.   $250+ and I didn't even get a tug.   Hormuz ain't Hormuzin again, did not see that coming...LOL
    • Appreciate the advice. I've watched multiple videos. Most showing the most complex for those that have a center console, to one that showed maybe 2 pieces of trim being removed, like 6 screws, pulling back the screen and switch assembly, and installing the inline module. And this was a new/newer Silverado. That didn't look too bad. All the others show alot of trim pieces that need to be removed. I've broken those kind of tabs/clips on my C8 Corvette trying to get to the battery, and that was a lot less clips than what I think is involved here after watching multiple videos and looking at my dash today. I have one on the way. Called a reputable stereo place about installing it and got a "minimum" price of $175. Ouch! Looking forward to seeing what the instructions have to say.
    • Hard to say what the issue might be. Anything from the ability to cool the AC condenser up front, to blend door issues in the HVAC unit, to refrigerant charge, to compressor issues or issues in the lines.   Report back what the techs find on the 29th.   GM has service publications which list acceptable vent temperatures and AC pressures at given ambient temps and humidity. They probably won't touch the system if it's operating within those ranges.   I'm also surprised to hear your 2024 with the L8T is still using R134a? I was pretty sure the HD's had switched to the new refrigerant around 2020.
