I bought from Laura a couple of weeks ago. They gave me a pretty good deal. The truck was marked at about $9,500 off of the sticker. They had an extra $1,000 off for the car show through January. It wasn't exactly $9,500 off after we got through with my trade-in but it was close. I am happy with the deal that I got. My favorite part was that no one tried to upsell me at the end. They didn't push an extended warranty, paint protection or other stuff, just the truck, tax and doc fee. It was quick and simple. I have to go back for service for one little thing and they've been great about that so far, too.

Paid 36,725. Sticker was 47,xxx. I got the last of the 14's and they wanted it gone. Love this truck!

2014 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 Crew Cab 6.5 Bed

6.2 Max Tow 3.73

Sticker was roughly $52000

I paid $42,600 out the door from Laura Buick GMC in Collinsville IL.

Purchased on Oct 21st 2014. They had (10) 6.2 trucks when I bought mine. I kept looking and by mid November they were all gone.

I keep looking to see if they have any 6.2 2015s and they only have denalis. I think that if you are going to buy these trucks Sept-Nov is the time to buy on clearance current year trucks.

When you start wanting certain colors or options that is when you get boned.

I still feel boned paying 40K for a 1/2 ton pickup. Good luck!

These things depreciate a lot.

The giant rebates on the 2014's hurt the depreciation on the Silverados. I seen up to $11,000 off a 2014 Silverado in my area. So if you bought a Silverado like I did, before the large rebates, the value of your truck depreciated much more in 1 year.

I have been curious about this myself. I love my 15 sierra and got it for a pretty good deal back in Nov. The full size bed is nice for the dirtbikes and stuff too however sometimes I wish I had the crew cab for extra cargo room. I typically drive alone but I have sat back there myself just to try it out and its not alot of room for a grown up. Been wondering how bad I'd get ripped off if I tried to trade it now for a crew cab 4x4 sle, my truck has 8k on it now.

I would wait a few months to trade in. GM has been seeing a steady increase in sales over the last 4 months. Prices are going to slowly come up as demand increases. Just the law of supply and demand in play. Their rebates on GMC trucks dropped dramatically at the beginning of the month. This also means used car prices with level out if not increase as well.

I purchased a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2L double cab loaded out (no nav or sunroof) for $28,000 out the door from Sid Dillon Chevrolet in Nebraska. The has a sticker price of almost $49,000 but back in November 2014 they were offering $9500 off the truck plus a few thousand more because of the hail damage on the passenger side. For about 40% off I couldn't be happier.

    • Even tougher is the 5.0 / 302. That's what this one has.    https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   https://postimg.cc/4n3F3yzY   Just realized I had the airbox removed in the engine pic, lol.
    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
