Seems like everyone on here has a 6.2, kinda makes me jealous.....

Same [emoji19] us 5.3 guys seem to be in the minority.

WE NEED TO STAND TOGETHER AND UNITE :dupe:

But really, I can't complain about my truck. I got it used with 7k on it, so i know I would have had to spend quite a bit more to find a 6.2. I just shouldn't drive one because i know i'll want one if i take one for a spin.

I don't have a 6.2, hell i don't know many people that have a 6.2L I mean i guess you might as well get it they way a truck drinks gas. After you put tires on a 5.3, level it, and add a bumper/brushguard your MPG is shot anyways. Though you do have the option of babying it on the highway running V4.

I've got the 5.3, coming from an 08 Silvy the 5.3 is awesome, with a tune it'll be perfect for me and what I use the truck for...DD...

Here's a picture of my 2014 Sierra SLT All terrain.

Got around to taking off the front plastic air dam because I was worried I'd break it off plowing snow.

New to the forum.

Got this back in July here in California.

Sierra 5.3 SLE 4x4 Z71.

Previously had a Yukon.

Added the GMC under-seat storage, Reflex bed liner, and Truck Cover USA Tonneau.

Luckily no major issues so far, its been a great truck.

Taken it on several long trips 6+ hours, really smooth comfortable ride and quiet.

Have also noticed the moving driver seat, and bluetooth is always going silent when listening to music. Thd Bluetooth issue got worse with Apple iOS 8.1 update, which others have complained of on Apple's forums.

A minor gripe is the throttle response is a little weak from a stop, which I think is done to preserve mileage.

The truck will definitely move when the pedal is punched.

Mileage is somewhat dissapointing, on a 6 hour trip to Socal taking me over the grapevine pass with several steep grades, the average was 19 mpg.

Got a recall notice about an issue with the truck's transfer case slipping into neutral (Keep my fingers crossed).

This is my 3rd GM vehicle in 12 years, previously had a 2003 Tahoe, and a 2007 Yukon. Crazy to think I have paid GM $120K for cars in that time.

I love the styling and the ride of the GM SUV/Trucks, which has kept me coming back; although long term reliability still has a ways to go.

Based off of my experience with the previous two SUVs, seems like these trucks start to have minor problems around 100K miles, which pales in comparison to brands like Toyota.

nice!! my favorite rims...wish I had 'em!! I have similar 6 spoked rims but mine are ground down to smooth and polished aluminum spokes. I much prefer yours because they have an edge and different surface textures. Edited by DougOhio

agreed on the cartoon but I can't upload pics of my new truck to photobucket without first upgrading my ipad operating system to 7.0...and I refuse to destabilize my iPad just so I can upload pics...so I am stuck. Unless you have a different solution?

well...as they say... "it's paid for" -- no new tech instruments for awhile!

I was expecting some kind of Apple flag waving ceremony, followed by a flaming.
