Perhaps a dealer warranty fix? Its all how you articulate it.

The front driver side and passenger side doors both have the same rattle. Its coming from the top rear corner of the door. The seals just rattle. I put some index cards in between the molding and weather stripping and it stopped. Not sure if the door isn't sealing tight enough or the trim is bad.

Anthony I have the same promblem in my drivers side door. Sounds like a plastic or rubber part is rattling . It drives me nuts because the rattle is right next to my ear. I had the dealership adjust the door striker tighter but I still have noises . It seems to be in more than just one area.

I was going to have them tighten up the door, but some other guy said it didn't fix their rattle either. Sometimes I don't like the radio on while driving, but then all I hear is the rattle.

So it has been a couple weeks since the last posting regarding these. Do you all think that it would just be better to go with the exterior ones to avoid impeding or altering the window seals?

Posted

The only reason I don't like the exterior ones is because the glue dries up on the paint and its a pain to get it all off. Had them on my ford 5yrs and when one cracked I tried to remove the adhesive off the paint, pain in the butt.

As far as the rattle goes, I believe that its not related to the vent visors and just an issue with the doors seal. My door sticks out 1/4" at top getting less as you go down.

Has anyone installed these? I'm wondering what you thoughts were on the looks and function before I purchase? AVS® - Low Profile Ventvisor™ Window Deflectors

Looked at my Weathertech a couple days ago and noticed the rear drivers side window deflector was about to fall out. Stuffed it back up but I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before the darn thing falls out like they did on my Jeep. I ended up replacing them on my Jeep with surface stick on ones that lasted for many years until I traded it in. Will probably have to do it in this case too eventually...more wasted money..... :-(

No problems. Fit and finish is great.

I would recommend contacting WeatherTech Customer Service and letting them know: (800) 441-6287. They might be able to help.

I am looking at the WT's and AVS's in channel's and was wondering about wind noise. Is one better that the other for wind noise? My last truck an 09 sierra had the tape on the outside and they had a noise to them I dont want that on my new 14 sierra crew cab. Thanks guys and gals.

I have the AVS's in channel's and never had any issues with them. They cost less than WT. WT doesn't make window deflectors for my truck.
