WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors

I have the AVS's in channel's and never had any issues with them. The cost less than WT. WT doesn't make window deflectors for my truck.

I would think that the fronts from either the DC or CC would work as I would guess the front doors are all the same. Strange it doesn't list them as available. Either way, the AVS cheaper price point is the way I'm leaning too.

I went with the AVS in channels, they've been perfect so far. I haven't noticed any increased wind noise.

I was told by WT they don't fit. WT doesn't make them for regular cabs. They will put you on the mailing list when they are available. It only has been an a year and no sign they are going to make them. So don't hold your breath they will come soon.

Is there any known difference between the door of a RC and DC/CC? The part number for the DC and CC front pair is the same. I'm curious now...

So, apparently, all 3 iterations have different front door widths. I guess that means window dimensions might be ever so slightly different. Seems weird for a mass produced vehicle not to utilize the same door for all 3 models.

Front door width:

RC: 48.44 pg. 18

DC: 48.80 pg. 19

CC: 48.86 pg. 20

Has anyone had issues with the fit of the front window deflectors? I installed mine yesterday, and they are rubbing the window at the front corner (near mirror) and up at the top back. They do go inside the window channel correct (except the tab at the bottom front)? I was unhappy with the rubbing so I removed them. It was interfering enough that it would actually disrupt the "express up" window feature.

Anyone else have similar experiences, or possibly suggestions?

Thanks,

Josh

I had that issue. Took them off and put the ones on that stick onto the door instead. Much happier now. I should mention that I got a brand that doesnt slip under the mirror and break the seal ( I worry about water getting into the doors) canr remember which brand it is though.

Is anybody else having problems with their AVS in-channel vent visors, specifically the rear ones?

Mine are part #194536 (smoke) for a crew cab.

I installed mine in March and the fronts have been completely fine, but within the past two weeks, both of my rear visors have started giving me trouble. Both rears now tend to bend when the rear windows are raised and lowered and have started to work themselves out of the channels and have actually fallen half-way out a few times. I've tried replacing the 3M tape a couple of times with no luck.... they just seem to be poorly fitted to the windows. Fronts seem fine, backs are bad. I just fired off an email to AVS/Lund and will see what they say.

I purchased mine from Amazon and noticed that there are now a bunch of reviews that say the same thing.... the back visors are crap and won't stay installed....

Anybody else have the same problem with their AVS in-channels?

Me weathertech rear left slipped down again and this time snapped at the clip spots when I tried to slip it back up again. They sent my dealer new ones. We used his double stick tape this time. Can't wait till the right one fails this time and I stick on factory OEM accessory ones. These suck
