I'm not a big fan off the rear one, they keep sliding down about a 1/4 to 1/2 " . I may give weathertech a call.

Thank you! How far do they stick out from the truck?

Sent from my SCH-I535

Furthest point is an inch off the glass, closest is 3/4.

Hey Mzodarg, so Weathertech sent me out a brand new set pretty much with no questions asked and said "try again" pretty much. I'm actually nervous to re-try because why would the install go any differently the second time around haha. That's weird with the rears moving when you open and close the window, let us know what they say. I'm almost tempted to just return these and get our of channel vents if they break again.

Bladz: If I were you I would try again, the fronts on mine were no issue. Just have to ensure they are in the same channel all the way across the window, and use the supplied tool to seat them. The rears as you know have 2 clips, per side. The instruction pictures suck, and I could not find an install video. I may very well have the clips in the wrong place, hence my movement.

I'll call them this morning and let you know what they say. In the event you decide to try again, good luck with your install.

Thanks Mike, I just got the new set this morning at work. Something that I should point out is that the first set they sent me did NOT have adhesive for the rear windows, this new package does... so if it helps when you call - I would definitely bring that up.

Bladz- Just got off the phone with them, they are sending the adhesive, I'm assuming it's nothing more then 3m double sided tape. Thanks for pointing that out.

I bought the AVS in channel ones off amazon for $48. Install was super easy and it looks really good too..

Can we see yours?

Has anyone had issues with the fit of the front window deflectors? I installed mine yesterday, and they are rubbing the window at the front corner (near mirror) and up at the top back. They do go inside the window channel correct (except the tab at the bottom front)? I was unhappy with the rubbing so I removed them. It was interfering enough that it would actually disrupt the "express up" window feature.

Anyone else have similar experiences, or possibly suggestions?

Thanks,

Josh

I went with AVS also.

My last truck had AVS, but the stick/tape-on kind that adheres to the outside of the door. But that truck was dark green. My new truck is summit white, so figured I would go with the in-channel type this time for a cleaner look. Decided to go with AVS again and I'm glad I did by the sounds of things in this thread. I didn't have any issues at all installing them. As matter of fact, I installed all 4 in about 5 minutes. Each deflector had at least 6 pcs of 3M tape for secure adhesion, and all of them seem very sturdy after install. Not sure it really mattered, but I did follow the instructions of leaving the windows closed for 24 hours.. Can't beat them for $43 via Amazon.

I would definitely recommend the AVS in-channel to anyone else looking to add deflectors.

I agree the rear fit of the weathertech leaves a lot to be desired. In fact mine were installed at a truck accessory shop with my bedrug and tonneau. By the time I got home the driver rear had slid down almost out of the channel. Making matters worse the ride home here in WI a piece of salt must have gotten between the deflector and it scratched my window on a truck with exactly 60 miles on it! Nope...not trying them again, tape or no tape or whatever!
