Opinion on best tires?

I have the SRA's they do not make a loud road noise, however I am told that they will not wear well, that by the time I hit 12000 milles they will be junk. I am at 3700 miles now and can see that they are starting to cup slightly......air pressures are correct. I will be looking into pro rating them shortly.

Just my opinion you can take it for what it's worth, which isn't much, but, if you stay with the 285/45-22 tire size, the Bridgestone Dueler H/T alenza is a really good tire it's quite and smooth riding, has pretty good traction & is a allseason tire, I beleive tire rack has it at in the good to excellent category in almost all areas . GM also uses that tire on all the Cadillac SUVs. The best tire in that in that small category IMO is the Continental cross contact LX20, by far its has the best ride, quietest ride , great traction , and surprising good off road cababilities. Although tire rack doesn't list that part the customers that I have sold them to where impressed by the off road traction, I'm not sure if they where just off the road driving through wet grass & dirt, or if they went through mud & and some wet sand mud mix i honestly don't know, but they where imperssed, and they where probably deer or duck hunting since there isn't shit else to do.

Thats my opinion if u stay with that tire size. Take it for what you will. Just wanted to help.

I'm anal about my tire pressure I check about every week to two weeks and every day with TPMS. I rotated them every 3000 miles. Couldn't roast the tires if I tried it was full time AWD. Only time I had a tire break loose was in the rain or snow (they were terrible in rain and snow). I'll never own another set of Goodyears. Sorry to burst your bubble...

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2Ur not bursting my bubble dude. I know RS-As are a junk tire and ur dealership is retarded for putting the on that particular vehical, the RS-A is a summer sport tire , not designed for all season, dealership service managers do not know crap about the tires they are selling, I'll give some of them credit maybe 25-30% do but the majority just type ur tire size in the computer and start askin you which tire price is right for you instead of asking the customer, what kind of driving conditions they deal with everyday and what they mainly use their vehical for , are u more of a hwy driver then a city driver? That alone will change what tires I would recommend , what kind of vehical it is , does the vehical require the tire to have a certain speed rated tire, do u haul heavy equipment , are u a hunter and travel offroad a certain percentage of the time, I look at the person I'm selling to and ask them about their driving habits to see what it is they wany out of a tire. All those questions and prob more I'm not think of at the moment are all things a trained Goodyear, Michelin,Cooper, B.F Goodrich (which is made by Michelin) tire sales men are supposed to ask, far be it for me to tell anyone how to do their job , but as for me and what I have seen and had dealership relations , they dont know near as much as they should for them selling tires. I know honesty is a lost art in a lot of things these days, but I probably lose more sales daily because I'm honest, I don't like screwing people.

I'm sorry u had bad luck with Goodyear , but it was most like the uneducated service manager that didnt know any better.

Just like I said earlier I took off the SR-As and put on Bridgestone dueler H/Ts. Better truck tire IMO and have 10xs better wet & snow traction, better 4wheel drive capabilities to. I plan on gettin a 1.5inch levelin kit , added I want a slight nose dip believe or not that nose dip does in crease the aerodynamics , which adds to fuel milage, the I'm goin to a 285/55-20 as well . Tire rack has both the LTX A/2 and the Goodyear wangler adventure with Kevlar , which is the tire I'm leaning to.

In the dealers defense they put the OE tires my Trailblazer SS (it's one the 6.0 vette motor in it). I've always had poor results with Goodyear tires regardless what car I them on.

Also, I worked for a tire shop for 4 years while I was going college so I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when comes tires...

I know you truck is new, but check the alignment, chamber or caster can be off, just because ur not steering isnt pulling to the left or right doesn't mean that is doesn't have a issue , after driving 4000 miles hitting bumps in the road and having time for the front end to bounce some and settle a bit can cause a camber or caster problem. Chamber and caster can start to chop tires , ur dealer can check it for free if it's out they will align it free. Dealerships will align ur new vehical usually up to10,000 miles. I know the SR-As r not the greatest tire but the chopping sound like a alignment issue, I'd at least have it checked, it's free and if the chamber or caster is off , once they fix it have the rotate the tires so that the front tires that are chopped can workout the wear on the rear , and the rear tires shouldn't have any chopping, u should have a quieter ride , your dealer & Goodyear will make you do this before they will pro rate them . Just FYI

I was surprised at how well the Bridgestone Dueler A/T's went the snow. I have yet to feel like I had no choice but to put it in 4WD and we had some pretty crappy days last week. If my tires wear out before I get rid of the truck and the tire choices remain same they are tops my list at this point.

Thanks for the heads up! I already went to the local Goodyear store

(2500 miles) and I did have to have the alignment checked. Everything

was ok. I am out of town working currently but when I get back I will

be going back to Goodyear. I spoke to them and they said that it wouldnt

be a issue. Thanks again for the heads up though.

I certainly haven't tried every set of tires on the market, but I have run Dueler A/T's and love them!! Even ~15 years ago, they were a great tire (....and they really haven't changed much about them since, as far as I can tell). They may not be an "off-road" tire, but for a good ALL SEASON tire, they work well, and yes, their performance in snow is exceptional! :) (.....when I was only 16 and put my Mom's car in the ditch on a snowy road, my Dad's '89 Sierra with Dueler A/T's pulled the car out no problem!).

If I end up not being happy with the Goodyear SRA's, I'll most likely go to Dueler A/T's. I don't care if they end up being slightly louder ... I'd rather know I have good tires between me and the ground.

The Bridgestone Dueler A/T's came on my 2012 Suburban Z71 4x4 from the factory. Drove through 2 Colorado snow storms on icy roads up to Telluride with no issues whatsoever. Awesome tires

On the Bridgestone Dueler A/T, which one do you have? There are 4 different types of the Dueler A/T.

Ater looking a little closer, I see that nitto trail grapplers come in a 22 but I don't think they are avaliable in the size I currently have in the bridgestone's. As I said earlier, I like the way they look, don't know crap about them.

I'm putting the Terra Grapplers on my truck as soon as it gets here. They are a really good tire. I have had them on a couple other trucks and have always gotten really good service from them.

I had a set of Dueller AT 2 Revo's on my last truck and liked them. When they wore out I decided to go with a cheaper tire because I was going to be trading the truck in soon. I went with a set of Falken Rocky Mountain ATS, and despite their cheaper price, they too proved to be pretty good. I ended up driving the truck an additional year before trading it in and didn't have any problems with the Falkens. I liked the look of those tires too.
