Very nice. Did you do it locally?

Yes I had my mechanic do it for me at his shop. This isn't their specialty, they are a repair shop

Hey guys. For those of you who have removed your rear block. Did the truck still have a rake? Ive seen anywhere from 1" to 2". I have a rc 2.5" lift on my truck. Is uses a larger rear block, a lower 2" strut spacer and a .5" top strut spacer. My idea is to use the front .5" spacer and no rear block and hoping it come out level. Should have a sporty stance to it.

The block is 1.25 thick. Rc have almost 4" rake and I think ec and cc have little over 3"

Mcgaughy's 5/7 sitting more like 5/8. I have always liked the slammed look with stock 16" or 17" wheels, not sure why lol. Do you guys think I need to bring the rear up an inch or leave it alone? Thanks for looking.

I've been looking at that 5/7 kit for my truck. I think a lot of these look great with that drop, but some look like they squat a little in the rear. Yours may be one of those. Kind of hard to tell in the pics. One pic looks like it, but the other doesn't. I'd say raise it up an inch w/a jack and see if you like it better. I personally would want a little rake instead of a squat, if I had to choose.

Other than that, how do you like the kit? Did you install it yourself or have someone do it?

I have the same kit on my rc. It's set at 3/6 right now. But I'm adjusting it to 4/7 soon. Rides better than stock I thin . But I got a bilstein shock instead of the mcg shock

The truck rides amazing, I have heard people say the mcguaghys rear shocks ride horrible but I don't think so at all. A buddy of mine installed the kit for me as well as the c-notch. I have worked on a lot of car suspensions but not on trucks so I didn't feel comfortable doing it.

As far as the rake goes it measures out a 1/2 inch higher in the rear so there is a slight rake but I think I am going to lift the back up 1" so the rake is more noticeable so it doesn't look saggy in the rear.

Keep in mind the rear fender is lower in the rear than front by almost an inch if my calculations are correct.

True, and I think that exaggerates the sagging look.

Hi all. Curious if anyone has done the mcgaughys flip kit with a lift hanger. Looking for 6" total rear drop on a 4x4 rcsb.

Do you reuse the factory shackle?

It's currently got 2" drop shackles and a block delete, but the 2" leaf spring won't quite get me to the drop I'm looking for. Was thinking about a 2/5 but would rather do a 3/6. I don't want to regret not going low enough, so why not do the drop I want?

You would use the lift hanger and a drop shackle.

I am at a 3/6 right now and I'm going lower

Meh. Factory hangers are riveted in IIRC and I don't really want to hack em out with the torches. Shame..maybe Ill just stick with a 2/5 or 3/5

The only way to achieve over 4 in the rear without doing the hanger is to get a lowering leaf with the lowering shackle

Yeah it should end up at 5.25 in the rear. shackles, leafs, and no blocks. Going to use the front adjustable mcgaughy struts to do somewhere between a 2-3. Will let you know how it turns out!
