How easy was the install if the 20" light bar? It looked to me like I'd have to hack out that plastic in the bumper to mount the lights in a flush manner. Really a few more use up pictures would help. Thanks!

The rigid 20" is a pain because of the side mounting bolts which make it too large to fit - I c notched the sides, drilled (w/step bit) access holes in the toe hook pockets. I will do my best to get some pictures in the next couple of days -

Last night I installed the VLED fogs into my Sierra, the bulbs were huge compared to what I pulled out.

I'm not sure if they are in there securely though. The two clips on the top and bottom would not secure into the housing properly. I had to take part of the plastic wheel well cover off on the passenger side to get a better angle to put them in. Both sides still feel like they might come off if I hit a bump or something. I compared the bulb took out to the VLED's and they looked exactly the same.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to make sure they are in properly? I don't want the housing fill with water if/when it rains.

OMG, what a difference the bulb makes though. Compared to what was there, the fogs seem brighter than the headlights; they even match the DRL's much better now. I can't wait to install the Morimoto HID kit; the yellow of the headlights looks bad with everything else being white. Hopefully that goes better than the fogs, if anyone has any tips there as well, please PM me.

You need to put some type of sealant for them to fit tight and to keep out moisture..

Explain further...I installed mine last month and I sort of feel like they could be a tighter for in there. Other than that, I actually am impressed with their performance and haven't had any issues yet.

**also installed VLED reverse bulbs....much more useful back up lights.

I installed VLEDS in my fog lights... don't remember using any sealant or anything like that. They installed nice and tight and don't allow water to enter.

These LED bulbs I will be stocking are designed to outperform standard halogen bulbs, and match the brightness and kelvin color of 6000K HID bulbs. Each bulb emits 2,200 lumens rivaling the top of the line HID bulbs. I have already talked to moderators about becoming a vendor. Its just a matter of getting my ducks in a row. They will be $99/each pair for the H11, PS24W and the 9006. I will have lots of other part numbers as well. That is why im dragging my feet on becoming a vendor until all parts arrive.

SO what's going on with these lights?

I loved them also, in my case they just didn't snap in very securely and water would get into the left one..I have the Rigid ones in there now..

Im just getting started on my truck, i have tires and rims going on hopefully monday and I just ordered a 30'' single row cree LED light bar to put behind the grill of my '14 Sierra All Terrain. I also ordered a dual row curved 55'' cree LED light bar (yes a 55'' not a 50'') to mount over the windshield when i can find some good mounts that will fit a 55'' bar or figure out a way to make Rigids/ADD offroad 54'' mounts to work with my light bar. No they are not Rigid Industries (i don't feel like coughing up $3000 for lights) but these will definitely give me more than plenty of light.

Now on to the fog light questions to stay on topic, should I get the VLEDs or the Rigid D2 brackets for the fogs? I am planning to add HIDs in my headlights soon, and i always like my fog lights on with my headlights when i drive and for all the colors to match up. I am thinking since I will have the square/rectangle LED bar "looks" on the truck, maybe I should go ahead and put LED pods in the fog light place with the brackets from Rigid, but then since i like my fog lights on with my headlights those LED pods in the fogs might be too bright to always have on. My other way of thinking is just to put the VLEDs in the fogs to match my headlight HIDs and just run that setup since the VLEDs aren't near as bright as a LED pod, and it won't blind everyone. I guess this is mostly for looks if your wondering. I know this probably sounds confusing, i just need help deciding and thanks for your input.

well the biggest question to ask yourself, as far as the fogs go is do you need the extra light from the LED pod? They will be too bright for on-road use. You could go with the narrowest beam possible and that may keep you from blinding some people unless you are driving down a 2 lane road.

If you do not need the extra light that would be given my the pods and you do just want the fogs on for the 'look' then I would suggest using the LED bulbs and not pods. That way you can get the look you want without blinding everyone on the road.

Just my advice. But the final decision must be made by you! good luck with the decision!
