Buy them and sell the chrome ones. I sold my chrome ones for $125.00 plus shipping and they had broken clips on the caps.

Yeah I thought about that. It'll be the road I go down soon I haven't seen much luck with ppl selling the chrome ones on here but maybe eBay would be the best bet. I'm more into getting the bumpers color matched first and finding the sierra rear bumper with out the steps.. Or getting crazy and fab up some delete plates to rid them. I'm a huge fan of streamline

They'll never be truly smooth.. But that is a good option.

Thats not true, on that black 2005 Silverado I had (posted on the previous page) I had everything that was black texture sanded smooth and painted. It can be done, I just opted for the easy switch, places were quoting me a bunch to remove the old ones to paint them even though I knew the new trucks handles just popped out.

...never be truly smooth? You sand the texture out and paint. I've never had an issue seeing texture after. You just need to take your time and be sure to sand it all smooth

The whole process of it to come out perfect seems like it'll be costly. Prolly around the cost of just buying them already done. Less it's hack work I could see 100 dollars to do it. Or a cheaper simple non metallic/pearl color. Few coats of paint and clear with wet sand and buff is a process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And would be much cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I disagree as well. I had my 02 Silverado front bumper plastics color matched and the guy that did mine did them perfect. you couldn't even see the slightest texture in the paint. only downside on the lower plastic on the bumper being painted is when I hit something with it (like going through a rut or something) when the plastic flexed it cracked the hell out of the paint.
