Garage Door Opener

Anyone got any updates on this issue. I have a 2015 SLE. I program the remote and it works right away but hours later it doesn't work. It maybe a signal strength issue though as others have mentioned.

I noticed I am having the same issue today. My 05 would open it flawlessly from at least 100 ft away. I have to be parked in the driveway for my 15 to open my garage door.

Are you all pressing and holding the button down or pressing it quickly and letting it go? My truck you just press it quickly, the wifes car with Homelink you have to hold it down for a couple of seconds.

I gave up on getting the GDO to work in my 2014 Silverado. It will not open the garage door at all. But if the garage door is open, it will close it if the truck is a few feet outside the garage. I have a garage door opener that is 27 years old and the remote that came with the opener works great.

On a hunch, I went to a friend's house that has a 1-year old opener and programmed the HomeLink for his GDO. The HomeLink worked perfectly, even from far away.

I believe the older door openers will not work properly with HomeLink. I just use the remote that came with the opener and all is OK.

My experience supports this statement...my 2014 Silverado Homelink did not work well (even in my driveway) with my 15+ year old Craftsman GDO, but after it died and was replaced with a new Liftmaster, it works great from down the street.
