Garage Door Opener

tn_gallery_2071_2021_4933.jpg Yeah, it is pretty unusual to back one's vehicles into the garage. The Traverse has Homelink and the Silverado has Lear; both work as soon as I turn into the court (~300 feet from the garage).

My trucks homelink works fine, try moving the antenna on the opener a little, for some reason it might be in a blind sign spot for you truck.

My 11 works great, as other have said I hit mine aprox 200ft from my drive way. Even works well when I am in my 2ed driveway (parked next to garage) aprox 30ft from the garage

I have the exact same problem with my '14. Both my home door and my door to my underground parkade at work, receive the same way. I need to be within 100 feet of the door to actually get a reception. In my previous car, I could open my door from down the block so that by the time I'd pull into the driveways, the door would be open.

Same issue here 14 is horrible. Sometimes have a problem with the truck sitting right in front of the doors. A few days ago I was trying to close the door and the homelink appered to just stop working. Drove up and down the drive a couple of times thinking it was a location issue. Ended up having to shut the truck off and restart it then it worked. My previous 2010 Sierra worked great.

I've got the same issue with limited range. I think the guy who designed the FM antenna system must be the one who designed the Homelink transmitter....

I have my homelink programmed for two different garage doors and both work great and from a couple houses away.

I back in as well and mine works from 2 houses away as well.

My Homelink works just fine from about 3 car lengths away. Try looking at the openers antenna. It should be a small wire about 6 inches long and may be curled up under the cover or something. I pulled mine out and straight down when the opener was installed.

Mine is finicky. The range is not very good at all. Have to be right on my gate for it to work, if it feels like working that day. Sounds like the receiver end may be the culprit here, as the results I'm reading above are all over the place.

I dont think it has to do with my garage door openers as I have 2 other vehicles that have no issue opening the doors from a few houses away. The handheld units that came with the units work well also. The only issue is with the truck itself. It will be something that is documented and serviced the next time the vehicle goes into the shop.

The Homelink in my 2014 Silverado has a very weak signal. I have programmed it and reprogrammed it twice, but it will not open the garage door from any distance. If the garage door is already open, it will close the door.

The problem is with the truck. The factory transmitter works fine. I also have Homelink in an Acadia and Corvette, and they work fine.

With so many responses stating that it works great, I wonder if there is a bad batch of Homelink transmitters out there. Mine is certainly one of them. Can these be replaced under warranty?

I have always back my vehicles into the garage and had the Home Link buttons in each of my trucks. The transmitter with this truck is horrible. I have to practically be inside my garage for it to work when backing up. I'm talking, my tailgate is inches from the garage door. If I pull forward to the garage it is better, but I prefer to back in. Anyone experiencing similar problems?

I was also facing the same problem. The problem was solve after changing the battery of remote.
