Just installed my RC steps

I'm selling my OEM ones

The RC steps are made by NFAB

There was a label in the box that said NFAB

Also the steps are definitely awkward for getting in and out of the truck. They should be further back

But they look good!

Looks good. Also noticed the tint, visors and removed decals too! It's the small things that can make a big difference!!!

How is the placement of the steps? Heard some complaints on N-Fabs about the step not being in the right position for natural entry / exit.

The placement seems fine to me. The step is large enough...especially for the milliseconds my foot actually touches them to get in or out of the truck.

I have the new Havoc Offroad HS2 hoop step and love them. I like that they dont stick out like a sore them and they fit the look of the truck.

I've seen these in this forum a few times and they always catch my eye. Finally saw a pair on the road the other day and it sealed the deal for me. I have been holding off replacing the oem steps until I was sure what I wanted- these are definitely it.

these are my wheel to wheel side steps i just installed on my 2500 crew cab. I like the fact theyre 5" wide and made out of a solid piece of aluminum. Install only took about an hour or so and i did it by myself, pretty simple project.

 

Even tho i do have a 4wd, it will rarely see "off road" use. I mainly got the 4wd as a "just in case" i ever need it, as i have been been stuck in my own back yard with my old d'max 2wd. The rubber top is great to keep from slipping on when wet, and i like the fact i can step up on them from anywhere. Getting into my tool box was a royal PIA prior to installing these.

Does anyone know is the 2500 nerf bars fit the 1500 trucks? I found a good set of nfab off a 2016 2500 crew cab but don't know if they'll fit my 1500

Can anyone with a 6" lift and amp research powerboards provide how many inches from the ground to the step?

Anyone seen any aftermarket running boards that deploy and articulate similar to the ones you can only get on LTZ & High Country Silverado? Been waiting on GM to release there's but they haven't and you can only get them if you order the truck w them

The Amps come "down and out" but not back toward the rear of the truck.

The GM ones articulate toward the rear of the truck but don't come "down and out" like the Amps.

 

I have not found any that do both.

Yep should fit. Only difference is if you have a diesel. Typically the same steps just a different bracket to get around the diff.

yep, look great and working flawlessly. I also installed a 6' strip of LED's under the rocker panels of the truck to light them up at night, tied it in on the dome light circuit.

Just installed 4" factory assist steps on my '17 CCSB and really like them! I know they will rust at some point especially up here in Upstate NY salt and snow but everything here steel and exposed does. Until then I'll enjoy them! I briefly contemplated a set of AMP Research or 6" IBoards but like the look of the factory assist steps better.

I was looking around my neighborhood for any missing curbs when one caught the nerf bar bracket and bent the hell out of it making my passenger rail crooked. Does anyone know where I can get a set of OEM brackets without ordering the bars? 2015 Crew Cab Silverado. My dealerships and after market shops keep saying they only come with the bars.
