looked into it and the online parts catalog showed the part #'s for a black console were back ordered or unavailable...

they only offered brown.. any one out there find anyone who has the parts available???

so anyone that ordered from gmpartsheadquarter pay a lot for shipping? First invoice said $75 for shipping, then they came back and tried to tack on another 100. Was this the case for anyone else?

When i ordered mine, the site stated it might charge extra for large items, I didn't get charged extra though. The console does ship in a huge box so I guess every dealer has their own criteria as what a "large item" is.

I thought $75 was high but I was ok with it. $175, no thank you

Anyone have the tan (dune) color jump seat and brown dash panel (like in post 881)?

If anyone has the Cocoa/Dune interior I can trade you for my center console.

This might be a dumb question. If it is let me know. Will the armrest, latch and bracket of the jumpseat fit on the full center console I am purchasing to install. Trying to save a little money.

Will a 2015 Gmc Sierra 1500 console fit in a 2015 Gmc Sierra 2500HD? I have a 23466980 and it doesn't show fitting in a 2500HD but shows it fits in a 1500. I was just wondering before I start to remove anything. Thanks

Hey man great job! I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 same exact interior as you except my seats are a different color grey. Everything else like trim and stitching is the same. Do you by any chance know what all the part numbers are I would need in order to do this swap from a jump seat to the center console?

Thanks!

END !! all is working as it's suppose and all is connect to their fused location (installed missing wires, connectors, fuses and i like where is the arm for 4x4 located
also installed rears inners fenders oem liners........a lot less noisy on dirt road

Do you by any chance still have all the part numbers for everything I would need to convert the jumpseat to this? I see that they have changed numbers for the parts and I am not quite understanding where to find the correct trim (the grey that you have in this picture)

Many thanks to tbarn, savage and several others for great tips and pics to make this happen.

Just purchased the 5 main parts for my console install from gmpartsonline.net. Excellent customer service and she took pics of the console I was ordering to be sure it had white stitching. Prices are climbing fast and shipping was $160 or so. Expect to install next weekend.

Going to get a male to male (minis) USB and try to get one of the up front USBs to work for charging and music, and the other as tbarn and others have described for charging only. With a '15 Silverado the HMI USB in the upper glove box works for music and charging so rerouting it to the console USB should do the same, but I know many of you have tried without luck.

Question--do I have to disconnect the battery and has anyone had issues when disconnecting? Setting off airbags does not sound fun.

    • Howdy folks,   Recently I pulled a heated steering wheel and clock spring out of a 2015 Sierra All Terrain (part numbers coming soon - will have to disassemble), and just installed it on my 2016 Sierra WT (as base model as it gets).   On install, I noticed that I’m missing the connector often tucked behind the dash for the heating element.     No problem… or so I thought.   I used an “Add-A-Fuse” at my heated steering wheel fuse location, which has voltage, but no wires. I ran it to the positive of the heated steering wheel (Violet/White), and took black to ground.   Hooked up the battery, turned the truck on - no heated steering wheel. No button backlights. Was pleased to see that my cruise control was working though.   Read a post suggesting reversing polarity, so I gave it a shot. Violet and White to ground, Black to power.    Aha! Heat! But I seemingly can’t turn it off AND still no backlights on any of the buttons.    Checked all fuses, everything is still in good order. I’m stumped.   Does anyone have any insight? If so, please share!
    • I'm about 1800 miles into my last oil change, and yesterday a message appeared saying oil life was at 77%. Not sure why it popped up but I think all of these electronics could be susceptible to solar flares or somesuch. I change my oil right at 3K each time, and that was the first time in 10870 miles that message came up. Strange thing is that it showed on the screen at all since I don't drive with that sort of info displayed on the DIC.

    • Checked the pads today and there's plenty of meat on them. If the message keeps coming up, I'll just answer YES that the pads were replaced and wait for the squeal.
