Those Tahoe-Yukon consoles are made different across the top. The top parts don't mate correctly with your dash. I don't know if you can modify it to make it work or not. Ebay has lots of those Yukon/Tahoe console so one has to be careful.

For anyone interested. I'm selling the black cloth jump seat that came in my 2015 Sierra SLE. $100 plus $30 shipping. Was only in the truck for three months before I swapped it out using all the help provided in this thread. Thank you guys!!! Below are some pictures. Comes with jump seat, dash panel and dash support leg cover.

Installing the console in my 2015 2500 this weekend hopefully. I ordered the top plate with the 110v, although I do not have that plug in my truck currently, only the single cigarette lighter port in that spot. What is the best way to wire the 110v in the new top plate?

I'm assuming you can't just splice and use the 12v hot wire, does there need to be some sort of converter?

I just read this entire post, question when adding a jump seat and taking out the console will the jump seat bolt up to the existing location? I need a 6th seat in my truck at times.

Thanks

Timna, it bolts right in place of the console. You also need the "ash tray" and dash piece with cigarette lighter outlet you cover up the empty spot. I'm selling a black jumper seat just removed from my 2015 Silverado

Where are you located? I'd love to put the console in my truck and I'd end up with a jump seat that would be available.

Im in Socal. I am still on the fence about doing it. I read the Bose amp is located in the console so I just need to figure out what to do about that when swapping for the seat.

Thanks

Bit far to try and put both trucks in the same driveway and swap pieces. :)

If anyone near me (CT) wants to pull out a console and put in a cloth jump seat, let me know. My ideal would be to do a "swap" between truck with someone.

Any updates? Were you able to attempt install this weekend?

Also can you provide the part #'s you ordered as well.

I see you have a 2500 ... are the consoles, part numbers, etc. any different then the 1500's

Looking forward to hearing how it coming along. :)

Were in SoCal ... I am central Cal in Fresno .... how far south are you? I am looking to do this swap and will have a complete black leather jump-seat with console dash piece and all to covert yours to what you need for the 6th seat. I do not need the 6th seat and want to convert to the console. What color is your console? is it the carbon gray color called Synthesis? Thanks

Curious if anyone has attempted this lately and can provide more info etc.

Curious to see who has a 2016 that has completed this conversion.

Can someone post the correct part numbers to order this entire console? I have a 2015 and do not need the charging lid since I have an iPhone.

All depends on what trim you want. For example I have the grand lace trim in my doors so I got the grand lace trim in the console.

I also have a 2015 and the part numbers I used were.

My doors have the wood trim. I'd want to match. Thank you for posting this list! Is this the complete console?

Just because it has wood trim doesn't mean it is the grand lace wood trim like mine but yes, that is a complete list.... Here is a picture of mine installed. Crappy photo because I just took it with my iPhone in the garage. Furthermore my dealership significantly dropped the price to be competitive with the online stores. 574b3cd47cce792262695f04509df0b6.jpg

    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
