All depends on what trim you want. For example I have the grand lace trim in my doors so I got the grand lace trim in the console.

I also have a 2015 and the part numbers I used were. f5333a0504e141e4d25193b9166e7967.jpg

I am interested in doing this as well. Quick question though. On the list of parts you have I am not seeing the armrest/lid. Did that come with the console?

Installed my console last weekend.I powered up my front usb ports instead of the ones inside the console since they are easier to access when you're driving. If anyone would like to do it this way it's really easy.Remove the entire harness from the jump seat and you will have the right plugs on that harness to plug right into the front usb's(plug and play)they charge and play music. .there is plenty of length to reach without cutting.then just splice the new console harness in to power up the 12v outlets and light in the console(I spliced everything in just because I was already into it and I want as much to work as possible. On mine all colors matched with the exception of the 12v+ but those are obvious since they just go to the 12v power ports. The white wire that doesn't match anything is for the light in the console, just connect to the 12v source of your choice .I expect that with the addition of the usb cable others have mentioned the usb ports inside the console could be used for charging if it was important to you.

Sorry for the long post.Hope someone can use it.

So if I followed your instructions and wanted the inside USB ports to be able to charge would I just need the additional USB cable going to the module behind the glove box?

Ordered the parts identical as the list above for $587 which included shipping. My dealer couldn't even come close.

Excited!!

Anyone have the part numbers to accommodate a 2016 Z71? I did the swap on a 2014 Z71, but managed to order incorrect trim. I hope to avoid that this time.

I can't guarantee it but it makes sense since it should be the same as others have done for the front ports.Again I didn't try it since I am happy with mine the way they are for now.maybe others could confirm this for you.

If it is please correct me if I'm wrong but for my 2014 silverado I would need the following parts to replace the jump seat with a console.

Quick shipping from GM Parts Headquarters as I got the notification that it shipped out today after ordering Friday evening.

I've looked through this thread and I'm sure someone has posted this and I missed it, but does someone know the jumpseat removal/center console install procedure? Do I need to get any additional bolts for this or will I have them already from the jump seat?

Installed my console yesterday. Everything went well. I don't have the three USB's up front working yet, but feel like I'm very close. I have successfully attached the USB cable from the HMI (behind the glove box) to the center console. On my 2015, I have the extra USB in the upper glove box. I disconnected it from the HMI (it's the USB with the green plug) and plugged in the new cable in its place. I used the cable recommended by TBarn (GM part 19303328.) You have to trim the connector on that cable quite a bit to make it fit in the HMI. If you are patient, it can be done and will still securely connect to the HMI. I then routed the cable to the center console.

I ran into a problem trying to get power to pins 4 and 6 on the USB. My local dealership didn't have any connectors (SAIT-A03GF-M064) in tray 27. I rummaged around and found something very similar from an old PC power supply that I was going to try and use, but they weren't a secure fit - too loose.

The way I installed the console was to remove the "new" console wiring harness, except for the wiring to the back cigarette lighter and the switch leg wiring for the light. I left that wiring in place, but cut out the remainder of the harness, leaving plenty of wire to splice. I then took the harness out of the "old" flip console. I spliced that old harness to the back cigarette lighter and the light circuit. Everything else on the back of the console is plug and play. I then used one of the cigarette plugs from the new harness to build a jumper for the second cigarette plug up front. Everything now works except for the power to the three USBs.

I woke up this morning and realized I think I have what I need to finish this. Because I pulled out most of the new console harness, I'm left with the plug from the 2 USB/SD/stereo plug. That plug is identical to the plug that connects on the back of the 3 USBs. So my next step is to cut that plug with plenty of excess wire and splice pins 4 and 6 to power and ground. My theory is that I will have fully functioning USBs up front once I do this. (The only minor downside is losing the USB in the upper glove box.)

I plan to give this a try one night this week. I'll report back.

Is it possible to connect the USB cable from the inside of the console in the jump seat to the 3 USBs in the front of the console and have it charge/play, then get this cable (GM #19303328) and connect it to the inside USB ports in the new console and have them charge?

So I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ. And I have a Jump Seat in it. I was wondering what parts I needed to do the swap? I have the Black Leather Interior, Greyish door panels and Greyish panels next to my 8" MyLink Radio on the dash. Any part numbers that would fit this one with my Black Leather Interior? I'm looking for a Black Center Console, not the Brownish with Wood on it. Thanks in advance!

Ya it is "silver". Hard to tell if it the same with your picture as it is hard to see the texture detail.

Yeah, I was told to order synthesis before, but it didn't have the scale looking design. It was just silver. Mine has the scale looking design.

    • We've been fans of the 40-20-40 front seat in the lower trims; specifically the leather option on the "3-across" version of the  40-20-40. I hope this can still be ordered in the "Silverado" or RST trim packages.  AND .... if dual exhausts are a part of the Custom trim,  does that mean a V8 package is available on Customs ?  Has the RST trim been discontinued ?  When ordering a V8 on one of these lower trims .... must it be the 5.7 ?  Or, on 4WD units can the 6.6 be ordered ?
    • I like it.   In a world of vehicle front ends that look like they've had a little too much nipping and tucking, I appreciate that GM went with a bold and professional look for the new Silverado and kept the aggression understated. The new 1500 looks a little more like the current 2500.   The interior looks well done as usual, although I'm not a fan of billboard screens on the dash. At least recess the gauge cluster screen. I see passenger screens as "keeping up with the Joneses'" in automotive interiors of late, which is fine. I don't think they belong in most pickups, but choice is good. Maybe some day I'll appreciate having one. Probably not, but, maybe.   Yet another steering wheel and airbag design. I wonder what it costs to have so many different models of airbags and buttons and steering wheel frames. IMO, pick a good one and stick with it. The new one is very...luxurious...looking. Again, not bad, but also not what I'd expect in a pickup.   GM has left us awaiting engine choice announcements and official details.     What will I be ordering on day one?   Nothing. I like my 2025 and it would be silly to get rid of it just to have a 2027.
    • I'm also waiting to see if they confirm Apple CarPlay, because I'm not interested in subscription fees just to use the hardware I already purchased.    In closeups it looks like it gets the Colorado/Canyon center screen based headlight controls which I despise. They also appear to lose all the hard switches for functions like seat heating and cooling, parking sensors, lane control, traction control, etc. which means they're all screen/menu based, so verdict is out on how well those will work with gloves or wet/dirty hands.  Admittedly they don't show the left knee area of the dash, but I don't see hard switches for locker control on the ZR2, and the "mode" switch appears to eliminate the rotary dial with a quick way to access tow/haul.  My 2021 has had multiple screen failures and at times the screen just locks up, goes black, or reboots while driving even after replacement, so loosing the ability to access many of these functions, especially lighting control would be pretty frustrating.   There aren't enough photos or detailed trim details other than one mention of "available microfiber trim" to confirm, but the use of microfiber on the seats and or center console is a deal killer for me.  Just because you drive a ZR2 or High Country, doesn't mean you don't work out of it, and that material is difficult at best to keep clean and looking decent.   Lexus and several other brands are using it on seats, dash, and door panels now, I assume as a cost and weight saving measure,  and it looks horrible 1-2 years into ownership.  I see what appears to be piano black on the doors and center console in some photos, which also has no place in ANY vehicle in my opinion because it mars and scratches too easily, especially for a truck.  Will be interesting to see what GMC comes out with when the Sierra is released as far as materials go.
    • Im a fan.  Simply moving the screen up helps the look of the interior.  I feel like GM dropped the ball on the current gen having the screen not at the same level as the top of the gauge cluster.  The GMCs look better with the vents above the screen to close that gap.
    • I hear you, its just not something one would even think of that the new oil in the container isn't filtered to a spec one would expect it to be.    As to a passenger vehicle theme and the maintenance requirement to meet to ensure a warranty is honored, these days with claims of life time transmission fluid on some models and the limited amount of oil changes that would bring one to the end of the factory warranty, that sells vehicles for those that like to hear "easy care maintenance free", but the manufacturer certainly knows different as to what that more than likely means for the longevity of some of the components if given that minimum spec maintenance. Then again I imagine there are a fair number of people that really don't care as long the vehicle gets them a certain number of years down the road because they are the type that want the next new thing, new and improved ... more bells and crap etc on the new one on the show room floor. Manufacturers have learned the phycological game to entice the customer out of their money !
