CMAdams1983 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 No problem. Looks damn good and deserves to be said! If I had a K2 Chevy id probably copy you and paint the grille like yours haha. And nice choice for the bow tie. Can't wait to see how it turns out. And good luck with the caliper paint Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk haha thank you again, if anybody has a suggestion where I can find a seafoam green high temperature paint that would be awesome.
YQatari Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Looks like you left cut off line is crooked.. My headlights alignment was off a little bit, I raised the right beam a little bit and now they are perfectly straight.
Flt23 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 You guys might think I'm crazy but I plasti dipped the chrome on the front today. I felt crazy spraying a brand new 40k+ truck but I think it turned out good. Going to do the back bumper later and then I have to find the right paint for the Chevy logo and calipers but it will be different thats for sure. What do you think so far though? Looks real clean! 1
YQatari Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 The best mod for the money.. ;) I couldn't agree more, these trucks should come equipped with HID from the factory, at least for the higher trims.

I was nervous as to how the dip would stick to chrome - no problems huh? Did you have parking sensors to deal with?

Thank you, and I honestly can't answer the sticking question, I guess time will tell on that one. I couldn't find the plasti dip glossifer so I just picked up a can of the auto gloss black paint and went over the plasti dip with that to get a gloss finish. I'll post what happens after a couple car washes haha
155 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 New tires - 33x12.50r20 Toyo MT. that looks great, is that the rc 2.5 lift? did you use all the parts? I see it maintained a nice rake to it which is what im looking for...
Dres79 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 That looks badass!!! How much weight can you put on the rack?? Also what is your total height with just the black rack installed!!! Thanks.. i know a lot of the Thule racks can take up to 150LBs. didn't ask what its rated to. top of the safari rack it almost 8.5 feet

I need to check psi etc and find out what the deal is. Measured this morning and I'm at 39.5" in the front and 41" in the back GTF. Edited April 7, 2014 by toddboy23
TTU19 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Added a black bug deflector last night. Sorry no pictures, but loving the look of it. Living down county roads caused a lot of windshield bug splatter, hopefully this will cut that down a little. 1
TTU19 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Dipped my mirrors white today... I'm digging it! Looks great. I also noticed you did the inside trim around your fog lights. I have very little knowledge of the "plasti-dip" stuff. Could you provide a link to what you bought by chance? Did you take the parts off the truck, or just taped them off? Thanks again and keep up the awesome work!

anthony2558 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I wanna play!! Here's mine. Just color matched my headlights the other day. Plasti-dipped the roof and b-pillars for contrast, I like the b pillars but am not sold on the roof yet. Here's a list of everything I have done to it 2014 silverado z71 LTZ 2.5" leveling kit Black 20s Color matched mud flaps 20% tint, 50% on the windshield WeatherTech mats Underseat storage Debadged Clear bra Here's when I picked it up from the dealership.... Looks a lot different now IMO! 50% tint on the windshield. How does that look from the inside looking out? What about your inspection/registration sticker. It looks sweet, but just curious on visibility loss. Tapatalk via Moto X
surebuttercringe Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Got the windows tinted today. 32% on the front driver and passenger side windows, 32% over existing factory privacy glass in the rear passenger and rear window. Also got an alignment since I put the leveling kit on Friday afternoon. 1
