Adding larger radio/mylink screen to 2014 Silverado?

Alpine makes a bunch of different versions:

 

The X008U (8 inch screen) will fit the 2007-2013 body style (but LTZ dash only, not LS or LT).

The X009 (9 inch screen) will only fit the 2014 body style.

They also make a 6.1 inch or 7 inch version if you want something smaller, but why would you?

 

All of them require special adapter kits that cost about $400 extra. The X009 is a different unit with a larger screen, more features, and the adapter kit has an OEM look to the buttons.

Looks like in 2015 you'll be able to order the mylink system (8 inch of course) to reg cabs.

you can change the 4.2 screen to the 8"screen you have to change the hmi also . I went though auto-spa mobile technologies . little pricey but wouldn't go back for anything I can see it so much better

I'm looking for the part number of the trim piece that surrounds the 8" screen so I can mount my tablet there and move my little my link screen somewhere else. If yall know the part number I would love you for ever.

So I bought the bigger screen and the module off a crashed 2015 silverado and went ahead and installed and screen displays theft locked any help
