Sub Forum Request

Could we get a sub forum for " I gots problems with my 2014".... It seems like every post in this entire forum is someone with a truck with an ailment...

BTW I like my Truck. It runs good. Is quite.... My Dealer is taking care of me.

I'm not sure if I have the authority (or clout) to make such a change, but I'll check with the other moderators.

Unfortunately, even with the sub-forum, newbies will still come in here every week and repost complaints. If we do create it, guess I'll just have to do a lot of topic moving.

Same here. I get tired of reading the negative crap. Some problems are legit while others are just picky owners. It would be nice if we could "stick" all the negative posts else where.....

It's inevitable that you will see these posts. That's the way a forum works, new member will join and complain about things like how they hate the truck because the volume knob on the radio is 2 millimeters to big.

Not to mention they will post it wherever they feel like it

I have been on forums since the 90's, so I understand people will vent about problems. With that said, this place is just negative thread after negative thread. Count how many threads just alone on page 1 is negative.

It just gets old, that's all.....

as said above.. the issue is most people come to forums like this to complain or research a problem. I don't think we need a seperate sub forum ..

I completely agree with you... It gets old reading the same threads about the same stupid complaints. This forum never used to be like this.. Not even when the GMT900's came out it was never this bad.

I can see the point. I have had 15 new cars since 1980. I have never experienced as many defects in one vehicle as I have with this truck. In fact I only posted a couple of times on forums before this. And I have been a member of many. People need a place to vent and unfortunately it is on places like this. I like the way most other forums are set up. Line items/ threads, you have a beef or question find that line item and have at it. You can not post or read 'till you pick a line This is sort of like a free for all. Like stated above every newb thinks they have a new problem. Oh well back to my cave.

If you take all the complaints and possible fixes away not much point in having a forum, the GM company websites will blow the smoke up your rear if that is the fix you need. A forum is a place to discuss the issues be they good or bad with your truck. Perhaps a fanboy sub section is in order for those that are more acceptable of issues and don't want anyone calling their baby ugly. The fact that GM has people monitoring this site and offering to look into issues alone makes bringing complaint here advisable. I think this is one of the best trucks I've had, the best no, the worse far from it. Issues for me yes, fixable issues yes again. Would I buy another first year model change of course, will it be a GM again of course.

Second, no one is suggesting ending or deleting members' K2 complaints The question is whether or not to create a dedicated K2 sub-section where all the complaints/problems/issues could be collected/compiled. That way, people with problems can go straight there to post their specific issue or search for answers. The link to enter the sub-section would appear at the top when one opened the K2 section.

Honestly, I don't mind putting in the effort if it will improve the forum.

I agree... There is much much more to a forum then that...
