yeah the dollars and cents on this are nuts. I'm going out on a limb assuming that the wiring is there at the door post as everyone on this forum has said that any of the later build 2015's have the cross dash harness that contains the needed circuitry (mine has a build date of sept 2015)

i have the print out my parts guy gave me and there shows 4 possible passenger harnesses for that specific trucks vin, so I'm working at decoding the option codes to see which seems to be the right fit. i imagine the price is around the same as the driver side.

like you said i'd hate to waste the money to find out they don't work. Possible plug and play sounds amazing , but to roll the dice on 400$.... well.... I don't gamble because i don't win! that being said if nobody has come across this harness, or had any success with it , i'll stick with the repining my current one for the puddle lamps and turn signals to work , and save the auto dim mirror for another project.

If you could only look at the harness and verify if Pins 2, 3 and 41 are loaded on the X500 Connector and Pins 1, 5, and 13 on the X510 Connector. Then you'll be good to go!

We would also need the passenger side part # like Alexantics said.

Also, if you are going to repin harness, you might as well repin for autodim while you're at it. Unwrap the harness one time, load it up, and rewrap.

id love to be able to get a look at those harnesses . I'm going to go back this weekend and talk to my sales gal and see if shed let me pop the window switch trim bezels at least so i can see the X510.

as a fail safe would the 898 page bodybuilder electrical not show what i need to see (i.e.. part number of harness in this truck , and reference the diagram to see what is pinned in that harness) i know ideally seeing it on the physical harness is best.

as far as the passenger harness I'm stumped on the parts lists as there is 2 that show the exact same option codes with different part numbers ( 23171550 and 23342721)

I agree though with you saying if I'm going to re pin my DL8 harness , to just add the wires for the auto dim while I'm in there.

im hoping to have all my parts here soon ( switch was US stock only so I'm 7-10 business days away still) we still have stellar weather for this time of year here , and id love to do this before the cold comes. most of the winter here I'm between -20 to -40 so i don't want to be screwing with door panels etc in that weather , even with a heated garage.

I can verify that on my 2014 LT I added just the switch and mirrors and the power fold option did work, but my truck is a 14 and not a 16. Could there be a difference? That I cannot verify.

The signals and puddle lights were on the mirrors that I added, and they had to be wired in order to work, but power fold and power adjust and heat did work on the DL3's I added.

Perfect, thank you! I have to have the power fold but would love to get the signals to work too. It amazes me that it's cheaper to make and manage multiple sku's than just outfit them with the same sku on all on these harnesses

You'll have to pop the door panel off to access the X510. It is located directly the quarter panel triangular molding. Also, which year Upfitter Manual are you looking at? The X510 connector for the 2016 manual is page 1531. With the other connectors close by.

manual i have is body builders service manual 2015 - X510 connector is on page 854 - but it does not show which harnesses have which pins as it is just the connector end,

door panel may be a tough sell to get her to let me remove but its worth a shot - wife has been eyeing up the new malibus maybe I can get her out for a test drive if she lets me explore this truck a bit hahaha

Anyone know the part number for the master control switch w/power fold button for a 4 door truck (2016)?

Holy smokes that was quick, thanks a ton. That seems to be the mirror controls by itself. I was expecting to have to replace the entire unit (windows and all). Will that part fit into the existing housing?

And, I also just finished helping another member today add turn signal and puddle lamps to his DL8 Harness.

I hear ya. I my 13 the signal wires were already in the harness, and I had to run power wires for the power fold. In my 14 I ran 2 wires to each mirror, and tapped into a ground that is already ran to the mirror. It seems that the turn signals has a separate ground wire in the harness so I just joined 2 wires (for the signal ground) on the mirror harness, ran 2 wires for power for the signal and puddle light and I was good to go.

About to buy a set of DL3 mirrors off a 2015. The guy says the door harnesses are included as well. Are there any other pieces/wiring needed, other than the switch, to get the signals/puddles to work? This thread is so massive now the more I read the more I get confused on just what is required

You will be better off using the existing DL8 Harness that is on your truck now. You'll need to add (3) wires to make the Puddle and Signals Work (3rd wire is a ground).

One thing to note: Since there is only (1) Ground connection on the X500 connector (Pin 2), you'll have to splice the ground in another slot in the harness. If you unwrap the harness, you'll see where GM does it.

Here's what you'll need.

Driver Outside Puddle Lamp - Circuit # 5996

(X510 - Pin # 1) -> (X500 - Pin # 3)

Ground - Circuit # 1150

(X510 - Pin # 5) -> (X500 - Pin # 2)

Driver Left Turn Signal - Circuit # 1314

(X510 - Pin # 13) -> (X500 - Pin # 41)

-----------------------------------------------

Passenger Outside Puddle Lamp - Circuit # 5996

(X610 - Pin # 1) -> (X600 - Pin # 3)

Ground - Circuit # 1250

(X610 - Pin # 5) -> (X600 - Pin # 2)

Passenger Right Turn Signal - Circuit # 1315

(X610 - Pin # 13) -> (X600 - Pin # 41)
