Ok this is just a general question to everyone who may have or is thinking of leveling their GMC or Chevy.

What is the general height u guys r using as a leveling kit ? 2 inch , 1.5? Reason I ask is on my 08 GMC sierra all it needed was a 1.5 inch 2 was to much, & for the most part all I seem to see is 2 inch for the 2014's.

All info is helpful, I have a 2 inch kit picked out just don't want to have the front lifted too much . Also is removing the plastic valance worth doing?

Thanks in advance for advice.

A 2" kit will get you perfectly level with the rear.

The lower valence is completely up to your liking. I didn't get any change in gas mileage after I took mine off but mine is a little taller than your talking about going.

There are quite a few posts on this topic. Here is the most recent that I know of

I have a 2" RC leveling kit on my 2008 and it sits about 3/4" higher in back than front. I like the fact I can load up the bed and not have it squat. I'm running 285-70-17 tires.

I have a 1.5" lift and 285's and it looks great even when pulling a trailer. There is a little rake but you can tell it is leveled.
