This is my dyno from yesterday with a 6.2 Whipple set up with a stock air box and stock manifolds.. just Cat Backed. I am having 2 inch custom American Racing headers, cold air, catch cans with a new custom tune don't today. Notice the Boost PSI readings with stock manifolds and air box. I do not intend on changing pulleys to increase boost so my new dyno on Wednesday will tell the tale.....

This dyno chart confuses me. What is happening at the 4949rpm mark to cause about a 129hp drop?

I know reading dyno sheets gets really confusing sometimes. The drop you see is the converter locking up at the same time the transmission shifts. That is perfectly normal and because we didn’t tune it originally we didn’t have it set to lockup during the pull. You will notice the final dyno sheet looks different also because in the software we will lock the converter during the dyno pull.

 

The above was explained by my tuner, I hope this helps...

Still running the stock air box KP is building me one but as you can clearly see the boost pressure is down due to the headers..........the truck is running Very Strong !!!!! Not loud at all very please with this current set up...However I just ordered a new pulley to get my boost back up....my goal is 600hp to the ground.

I thought it would make the same power under less boost. Learn something new everyday.

makes more HP but less TQ.......made 47 more HP and 47 less on the TQ...and will make even less boost when I install the cold air.....but when the cold air is finally done, I will change out the pulley to recover the boost to the original boost level and recover MOST of the lost TQ....and more HP ta boot.... my goal is 600 + HP to the ground and at least 600 TQ....This is the ultimate sleeper truck....it will get a 3 gear scratch in auto mode on a greasy asphalt road...

Got any pic of it?? Hows KHs tuning??? I was thinking about taking mine to chuck but probably going to stick to Spike from the RGV
