It might be close, but the torque curve with a Maggie is unreal. Unless he has traction issues I don't see a stock 6.2 out running him. Especially if he pulleys down a bit.

LOL... not sure what you are expecting out of your 6.2 but good luck. If the tuner for the Maggie is a half assed tuner, you still wont touch it. A well tuned NA 5.3 will probably make you sweat a little.

On another note, from a tuners perspective, I'm not a big fan of the 1900, too limited. Now throw a hairdryer on there and start breaking stuff... thast what I love about trucks, plenty of room under the hood, no bs with relocating fuse boxes like in a Gen1 CTS-V or putting twins where the mufflers go with 500 miles of exhaust piping (major downfall to turbos if room is an issue) Maggies are a drive it an forget it setup though so if you don't like getting your hands dirty, buy a Maggie.

He does spin out of the whole i just hook and go. To me and him the power difference from his and the 6.2 isnt much. Im going to post a vid when we do.

btw awesome vids. have you taken it to the track?

That's impressive if the 14 6.2 can hang with a 14 5.3 truck with a tvs1900 Maggie.

Are they same trucks? Gear ratios? Alot will matter when comparing these because Lingenfelters supercharged 5.3 with 3.08s was not fast. Hook em both up and no way 6.2 should win I mean my truck will fly but no way I would expect to outrun maggie truck.

Most small blowers like that are typical a 80-100hp-ish gain on 5-6 lbs. unfortunately the linear power of a SC makes all that at shift point but it should still be plenty faster than a stock 6.2. Fully tuned 6.2 for E85 now that should be a race.

I was assuming (I know, I should never assume) that we are talking about similar trucks. If your friends is a 4X4 crew cab with 3.08 gears and you are going to have a 6.2 two wheel drive with 3.73s, then that becomes a different story.

All other factors being even (truck, traction, and driver) then a Magnacharged 5.3 beats a stock 6.2 all day long. No doubt the 6.2 has a lot more potential than the 5.3, so it wouldn't take much to out run him. Then again, he can drop down to a pulley size or two and gain another 4-6lbs of boost (another 80-120 rear wheel hp).

The thing to remember about a Maggie is it makes almost instant boost and is to max boost by 3500 rpm, so peak hp is only the beginning. They make a ton of power under the curve. A centrifugal SC like a ProCharger keeps building boost until shift points, making them better for racing but maggies are better for heavy ass trucks that are daily driven or towing.
