Pulled the trigger on a 2015 Yukon SLT yesterday.

After much looking we finally pulled the trigger on a 2015 Yukon yesterday. Our 2007 Tahoe was getting tired and it was time to put it to pasture. This thing is a joy to drive although seems a bit less "snappy" than my 2014 All Terrain. One thing I do have to comment on is even though it's a pricy option the Adaptive Cruise Control is an option worth EVERY penny. We took a drive with the salesman to their other store to look at the one we got and drove it back the 20 some miles to the showroom where we started. The longest stretch of the trip was on a divided 4 lane highway with lots of construction.

I set the cruise at 67 and just let it do its thing. The system kept a fair amount of distance between us and the car in front of us and adjusted the speed to match going up and down between 67 and 40 without any input from me. Being a bit gutsy there was one place where the car in front hit their brakes and stated a bit of a faster deceleration and I forced myself (foot just hovering over the brake) to let it go and see what it did. The system applied brake, matched the speed of the car in front of us and then accelerated back to a normal cruise as the cars ahead did the same.

Once on the interstate I set it again at 67 and intentionally stayed in the right lane as we came up on another vehicle to let a truck pass us on the left. As before the cruise adjusted the speed to match the car in front and once the truck had passed on the left I moved into the left lane and the cruise pushed it up to 67.

Nice I assume it's head over heels vs the 07? We had an 08 Tahoe and it was nice

RyanbabZ71 the 2007 was a great ride. Never a problem except for having to replace the dash twice. The interiors on the new ones are much nicer. Also the ride is smoother and its much more quiet.

Congrats, nice ride. Keep us updated! Curious, how many miles did your tired 07 have? I see them for sale all around my area with 200K miles on a regular basis!

Snake I guess tired is a relative term or maybe I should have said we had grown tired of it. Ours only had 97k on it and had many more left. I think what really made me think of it as tired is on a number of time I'd get out of my 2014 Sierra and get in the Tahoe and it just seemed so worn out (tired). Hadn't given it much thought til you mentioned lots of them being out there with over 200k. I think the Sierra spoiled me. :)

Nice ride. My parents picked up GMC Yukon on Saturday. It is the red metallic color. Pretty sweet ride, obviously many similarities to my 2014 GMC Sierra but with the added collision features.

We will probably be taking a road trip in the Yukon about 2k+ miles, I will let the board know how it handles the trip.

I'd give a report on how it drives IF I ever get to drive ours. I did back it out of the drive the other night. Felt like a teenager again. :)

Yea my Dad feels the same way, he keeps walking around and looking at it, but as soon as he is ready to go someplace my Mom grabs the keys.

She really likes the adjustments that can be made to the steering seats and mirrors since she is so short but it the vehicle so far is really comfortable to her.

Nice ride! James Wood is the best! That is where in truck came from. You will be satisfied with their operation from top to bottom.

How are the headlights? are they HID? or are they similar to the HIR bulbs in the trucks?
