Just installed 70 series Flowmaster on 5.3

Do you have a check engine light since getting rid of all the junk. I cutnmy y pipe out and 2.5 inches them to a magnaflow muffler duel exits. But I triples tbecomputer and got cat below effincincy and I cant figure it out as to why this happened. I contacted a exhaust shop in Texas that claims they have done 30 plus new gmc and sierras with no problems. But I have a problem. Any help would be great

If the front two cats were left untouched then you shouldnt have a problem. I would guess that you either have a rear O2 sensor unplugged or damaged the sensor or one of the wires to it.

Are you able to tell us which exact 70 series you have? On FlowMaster's site, nothing is specifically listed as "for" the 2014 GMC trucks. I'm sure many will fit, just wondering what the specs/size are on yours.

I guess I could have included that...... it is the 853072 with 3" center Inlet and 3" offset outlet. The only difference between the 853072 and 53072 is the 853072 is stainless and a couple dollars more.

 

Just to make sure everybody knows... mine is a 5.3 and has the 3" exhaust. They do not make this muffler in 3.5" but I would always just put the muffler in the pipe flare and open it up to 3.5" if I had to in the past or run a single in and dual out version.

Well, I thought I remembered them, why? are they wrong? I spent a whole day trying to find the perfect flowmaster and was calling store to store trying to find it so I probably repeated it a dozen times before I found them in town. I'm like the muffler version of rain-man

Anyone know if the 70 series has major drone in the cab during v4 mode? Have not disabled it yet but planning on. Just need to know if there is major drone with 70 series in v4. Also if anyone knows if the super 50 or 50 hd drone as well.

In my experience with multiple different vehicles with any of the Flow Master mufflers, they all have a lot of drone.

Think i would have less drone issues going towards magnaflow or like a straight through?
