Look underneath the seat to see if you have the bottom blower there.. Looks like you have cooled seat with no Switch.. lol

So here is an additional qiestion, i have a LT without heated seates. i had my bezal off the other day and it had the seat heater wiring pluged into blanks where the seat heater switched would be. are the trucks pre wired for the heated seats reguardless or could the seats possinibly have heaters in them.. like add the switch and bam heated seats

Woah that is interesting! Surprised no one caught on at the dealership during inspection because the perforated seats and rear vents are a tell tale sign of cooled seats in these trucks!

Whats the build date? Would be interesting to find out if there is more out there

When we bought the truck, when showing us the truck, the sales guy said "I thought this truck had cooled seats but i guess not" so the seats set off a light in his head somewhere....just not the RPO code one. But like i said, not on the window sticker.

Build date: May 2013 & Sales Guy just looked it up and verified it shows heated and cooled seats. He was amazed and is checking with service dept.

I know it will need switches but bezels look same. I just hope they didn't put the wrong wire harness to...

I wouldn't think so, check the seat and see what wires are under it. I think this was just a QC issue with mine.

and don't forget the heated/cooled seats may be a part of a package on the window sticker. The RPO code tells you what is actually installed, but may be included in a package. Just checked my window sticker. Mine is a Silverado LTZ with heated and cooled seats a part of the LTZ Plus Package, listed on the window sticker. However I understand some others did not have all of the packages listed with line items that were included in the packages.

I have been trying to get a straight answer as to what it would take to install heated seats. I am aware the wiring is there in the dash, but not aware of anything under the seat. The dealer was not very helpful in getting the answer either, as they were not sure. I doubt the heater elements are there, but I figured they would be added with the switches and bezel. The hardest part (in my opinion) would be to add the wiring, but I think it is already there. The parts (heater elements, bezel and two switches) are roughly $400 dollars. It apparently does not need a modules like the older trucks. I don't want to spend the money and find out I need more parts. It also has to be reprogrammed by the dealer to make them work when/if installed.

Can anyone can shed some light on this? thanks.

Wish I could help, but just don't know. I did see some pictures somewhere (probably in the thread talking about heated and cooled seats not working) where someone had taken the seat apart so that you could see the heating element. This might help you. The heated and cooled seats are very different than just heated in that the heated and cooled seats are perforated and have a blower inside. This is evident by the vents in the back and available setting in vehicle personalization. I have heated and cooled so I know a little about them, but not the heated only.

Check out the "heated and cooled seats not working" thread for more info.

available setting in vehicle personalization

Can you send a pic or post the path to see the settings? I would of remembered that setting when i was playing with new truck. They may have to re-flash truck to.

I have a Silverado, but check your Owners Manual for Vehicle Personalization. Mine starts on page 5-44 and the following is on 5-46. If the option for heat and cool, you will see options like this. It may be different for Sierra.

Remote Lock, Unlock, Start

Select Remote Lock, Unlock, Start

and the following may be displayed:

. Remote Unlock Light Feedback

. Remote Lock Feedback

. Remote Door Unlock

. Remote Start Auto Cool Seats

. Remote Start Auto Heat Seats

Thanks. Yep the option is in there.

Any news on GM helping you out??

Those are 100% heated and cooled seats and I'm willing to bet the A/C connector is the behind the pannel.

I would pull the panel, double check the connector is definately there, then buy some switches and cooled button panels and enjoy your booty cooler's
