Black leather finish wearing off seats

Hi all, has anyone had a issue with the leather wearing off of the drivers seat? I have a LTZ with about 7k miles (noticed it at 5k) black leather. The leather finish of the left rear of the seat cushion on the drivers side is wearing. I've taken notice that getting out I do seem to slide across/out of the seat, but I don't see any other way to get out. Plus I don't think it should wear that fast. I had a 07 CTS with 125k and it was barly starting to wear.

Just wanted to see if I'm the only one or if anyone else is having the same problem.

I do worry about that as I tend to "slide" off a bit getting out of the truck (just how I'm built I guess). Keep us posted if you claim warranty issue on this....

I have a new LTZ and after 4k miles mine is starting to do the same thing. What did Chevy say? I do think it's from sliding out of the truck but you would not expect that to happen on a $50k truck.

thanks

I dealt with (bad wrinkling) this in my '11 GMC, made the dealer replace that portion of the seat. After an outside local shop replaced the bolster, the leather stayed beautiful until trade-in at 25k miles. I plan on doing the same thing on my '14, because at 7,500 it's already showing wear. Keep us posted.

My dealer ordered me a new bottom seat cover. It just came in yesterday. It's going in Thursday to get fixed.

The odd thing is, they had to order a second one because the first one was the wrong color. Going off my vin, it says I have the coco interior......mines black lol

Unless they changed it from their previous days of leather interiors for their truck line the back seat is usually a fake leather or pleather type material which would explain why it has already worn out in just a few months time.

This synthetic leather, very common in massage chairs, I know that blue hue from that pic.

Apparently very common in GM vehicles still unfortunately. You would think with most stickers closer to 50 grand with leather interiors that these cheap idiots can give us an all REAL leather interior!
