2014 Truck Redesign Already Underway

Another HD grille? That alone would be another step in the wrong direction IMO. Half tons are what they and don't need to pretend to be their older brothers. If anything , a smaller profile would be beneficial.

 

Although I do like the idea of having the xenon's standard or at least an option for lower trims. That's only because I would like an LT with a few options from the LTZ. the gaudiness of the chrome and badging kills it for me, its to pretentious and outdated.

Let's not forget that GM made the 5.3 an option on the trucks now. I think it's like an extra $1,500.00 for the motor, and this was previously the standard motor.

 

The 2014s offer nothing revolutionary, If you look at the sales numbers each month, it's painfully obvious that RAM is eating GM's lunch!

 

The new 2014s are far more expensive than the previous years, that is not helping sales either.

 

I also agree with an above poster that the new product launch was botched.

I believe The 5.3 was never "standard" across the board, I think at one point the only ones on lots for a while were 5.3 motors due to the other motors being pur into production after the 5.3 rather than at the same time

In the past the 5.3 wasnt even standard. The 4.3 was standard on lower trims. To get a 5.3 standard in the past you needed an LT/SLT in 99-06 and LTZ/SLT in 07-13
