To me the silverado front end is too square to me. I love the looks of my Sierra's exterior but, everytime I see an F150 I think "damn that's a good lookin truck"

Not Since 2013 they haven't, when they put that Ugly as Sin Grille that is used on the Super Duty on the F150, and when Teamed with the EGOBoost, then its Both Ugly, AND Overhyped!

I could see them coming out with a different/updated front end for 2016 silverados...they did that to the 2000-2007 silverado models were they changed the front end ( mean eye look) in 2003, keeping everything else the same.

There were more changes than just the front end. Slight interior changes and the whole interior electrical system was updated and upgraded. Slightly different seat design, steering wheel, added options, new type of radio and A/C controls. I dont expect it to happen to these until 2017. They may not even go that far on these since the only changes to the GMT-900 was only the new arrow design in the DL3 mirrors and the Silverado HD's got a new single piece bumper

They better do something quickly. The other makes are eating GM's lunch. Trucks are where the $$'s is at! Biggest problem: GM has horribly mismanaged the launch of the new 4.3 V6. If people knew the HP numbers and fuel economy they would sell more. It has been a pretty crappy launch in general in fact. Have you seen any ads that actually tout frame strength, fuel economy vs HP numbers, etc.? Its nothing but cow mating rituals...

This! I thought they were done with the pasture crap, but it has been playing around here the last two weeks.

FIRE the nasally guy talking about cows getting it on. Matter of fact, FIRE the entire marketing department.

It is almost like they doubled down on a bad bet with Ford or Ram & let them handle the launch along with advertising... :sigh:

If they had a commercial where two guys are getting gas, one in a K2 V6, and one in an 800 with 5.3...

800 guy: That looks nice, What motor does it have, what's the fuel economy like?

K2 guy: That new 300HP V6, and I'm getting 23 on the highway!

800 guy: WOW! My V8 has 285 and I'm only getting 18!

The new Silverado, with more power, more comfort, more mileage, more capability. Treat yourself to more.

Get more with the new Silverado.

GM, PM me marketing job offers if you use this commercial.

New Chevy's are ugly anyway and apparently unreliable. I have no desire to buy a new truck as they're way too expensive. I wouldn't buy anything made by GM, probably get a Toyota Tundra. Yes, the fuel mileage numbers on the Toyota aren't as good but it has more power and its a higher quality vehicle. No damn active fuel management to destroy your engine about the time your warranty runs out. Using oil from the first mile driven and GM thinks that's normal, that still boggles my mind. If I were in charge, I would have fired anyone who had any knowledge of this and did nothing to fix it. I have 2 gm vehicles, a 2004 grand am with 140,000 miles on it and my 99 z71 with 187,000 miles on it and neither one of them use any oil. I guess the old saying is still relevant, "They just don't make them like they used to." Build them to sell, not to last.

And then fast forward 5 years and the 800 is still running and the K2 guy's truck is at the dealer being worked on, again. How's that fuel mileage now?

GM screwed up with these trucks.

I have stated before.

Too big. Too bulky. Too much electronics. Does the truck really need two TV screens?

And too expensive too boot.

Don't know why (other then price) that anyone purchases a Dodge/Ram. In my neck of the woods - all Dodge trucks turn to rust quite quickly. Junk.

Why don't they just adapt the GMC fenders and grill and call it good. The GMC's for some reson just look better so just go with that. Done.

I still prefer the Silverado over the Sierra even if the front end is excessively large.A slightly smaller front clip and less square wheel wells would be good IMO.

Along with more wheel and interior variations. I would like an almost all black interior with cocoa seats and accents.

That's probably all I can reasonably want to change on these trucks.

I have to be honest here. I wouldn't change a thing about my Silverado. I like everything about it including the front end. It's the main reason I traded my '13. Others may disagree, but my opinion.

I'm also of the opinion that the only reason to buy a Dodge is price. Those dealers will DEAL. Dodge trucks are a dime a dozen out here in Missouri/Kansas. (I know it's called Ram now, but it's still a Dodge.)

I'll stick with my Chevy for a long time.

This is the reason that GM is in panic mode right now..... They're really scared of what will happen when the '15 F150 is released. (to me it looks like a Tundra).

To be honest if i had to buy a truck today I would have to also look at The Fords. GM really droped the ball on these new trucks. The packageing is a joke and the prices are ridiculous. Hopefully they can get there act together and quick.
