LED tail lights! Will get some better pics when the sun goes down. And for anyone who says that these aren't much brighter than stock, they lied. These are much brighter IMO!

What tail lights are those? Is the reverse brighter too?

They are the Anzo/Eagle Eyes. I got them on EBay for $255. Reverse is the same as they use the same design as the OEM tails [emoji20] I have 50W LEDs in there and they work well

 

 

Lets see some pics of the LEDs!

I'll get some up as soon as I get the chance! I really need to adjust them better inside the projector before I take pics cause if not then no one will want them! Haha.

it shows up as a site announcement if you are on the desktop. I'm usually just on my phone but tapatalk decided not to work for 2 days for me so I got on my computer. Glad I did haha

Hey Mike I got a question for u and for anyone else who is using the led lights for the Sierra.

 

I had bought my father in-law led lights for Christmas for his brand new jeep. Cost me $200+ to get them to Canada.

 

They are just the bulbs and his headlight is the the reflector type not projector type.

 

Anyway we installed them Christmas day and a couple days later he came back cause they were pointing pretty high. So we adjusted his headlights down and he was happy with the results so he wouldn't be blinding anyone. We are in Ontario, Ottawa and we have had some snowy, cold, Icy weather.

 

Anyway long story short he took a long drive due to work in a snow storm and realized that his headlights were freezing up. He had to pull over Couple times to wipe the snow and slush off his headlights so he could see.

 

Seeing how led put out next to no heat on the bulb and the fan on the back of the bulb is to keep the circuitry cool have u experienced anything of the is sort yet or are the led replacement headlight bulbs only meant for warmer temperatures .

Hey man, I personally don't have that problem since I'm from Louisiana. Closest thing we have to snow is haha. So I can't input on cold temperatures.

 

I know that LEDs put out some heat and the LMZs seem to heat up quite a bit, or at least when they are stuck inside a housing like ours. I let mine stay in for 35 minutes and then tested the heat in there. The ballasts got up to around 150*F and the projector and bulbs themselves were around 170*F. MUCH hotter than I was expecting. I can only imagine that this is because they are inside a sealed headlight though.

But back to your father in law, I'm not sure if LED headlights can really be used in colder areas for this reason. It'd be awesome to know that they can but if he had to get out several times during his drive then that could end up getting very aggravating in the long run. I wonder if there is any other way to be able to clean off the headlights without having to get out of the vehicle.

I've only had mine installed for a day or two, but have not had issues yet. It's been as low as -8* here in the past few days. No rain, sleet, or snow falling to drive in(we do have about 18"+ of snow on the ground).

 

They do put out some heat, so maybe it's not a huge problem, but I have yet to see.

Did some colormatching tonight. Will post up some more pictures in a few hours after everything is fully dry and reinstalled[emoji106]

 

 

BTW, to remove the small aluminum trim piece around the radio control knobs. It's not a difficult process, but a tedious and very aggravating process

 

You have to completely take apart the trim that it sits inside of.

How hard were the vent pieces? Haven't seen those pulled yet by someone. Did you try the steering wheel pieces? Looking forward to installed pics

Still trying to figure out how to get the steering wheel pieces off. The vent pieces are the easiest (unless you include the cup holder). All you have to do to remove the vent pieces is pull off the driver/passenger side fuse panel cover and then you can get your hand behind the trim piece to pull it off. From there you can unscrew the actual vent that aims the air at the windows and for the headlight/4WD/trailer brake controller, that is held onto the trim by clips of you just have to push it out from being. Very simple stuff once you start!

They aren't that simple :/ they have 3 screws holding the buttons into them and the wires for the buttons are too short to be able to give me enough slack so I have to find a new route to go:/

 

On a better note, here's how it's currently looking yall! Got all the wood trim matched as well[emoji106]

 

 

Makes a HUGE difference!!
