What is the most economical way to level my 12' 2500 HD, wanting to raise the front? Looking to put the front end the same height as the back.

Crank up the stock torsion bars a bit.

That's FREE. But get an alignment when you are done. That will not be free.

^^^ What he said. Just make sure you jack up the front end by the frame to relieve the tension on the bolts to the torsion keys. Definitely get an alignment afterwards.

I cranked the front on my last truck, never again. Rides like a Ford, rough and jarring.

3 turns is cranking it and that will not get you level. Do it right with new UCA kit like Cognito's, or a lift, your CV angles will be better and the ride will be better.

Wrong. Bottoming the bolts out is cranking them. You can get them to sit decently level with cranking the **** out of the bars.

However, I do agree with uca's or a small lift is best. You're cv's will thank you. I run a 6" kit settled down to a 4" and rides beautiful. Like factory, and cv angles are perfect

I agree with Chevyboy86, bottoming the bolts out or getting reindexed keys is cranking. Plus, guys that crank usually never put longer shocks on or shock extenders and then bitch about how crappy the ride is. I believe I did five turns, changed my shocks to +2 Bilsteins, and it rides pretty close to factory. I still have about a 1" rake but I don't mind that, just wanted to clear the tires I bought without rubbing my mud flaps. I still have almost an inch from the bottom of my UCA to the drop stoop.

I have a set of longer Bilsteins on the front, with the bars cranked a little. I have a 1-1.5 in rake or so, which I like, and I still have a lot of room left in the keys. I have a set of Bilsteins on the back as we'll, and I can tell you if anything it rides better than stock. I also have a set of 285 Duratracs as well
