Trade it in, completely unsatissified with this purchase. #1 heater core failed, #2 brake controller failed, #3 a/c not working after heater core replacement, #4 gas mileage sucks , not even close to 21 on hwy...never buy Gm again....

Probably built on a Friday afternoon just before the Christmas shutdown.

Mine stays. Best vehicle I've ever owned. Zero problems. All good. Bump the "keep mine" poll by one!

I'm keeping mine! Denali 6.2 here! Seamless power with all the ammenities you could want in a vehicle. Haven't had any of the issues described on here. My only gripe is the transmission hunts for gears at times but I'm having her tuned in about two weeks to take care of that. My wife even likes it!

Might trade my 2014 black 5.3 1/2 ton up for a 2015 white 6.2 max tow 2500 because it sure gets hot in a big black truck, and goes so darn well with the 5.3 it must be even more awesome with the 6.2 max tow in 3/4 ton. But I'm very happy with mine, and would be even more so if the HD FM and XM radios reception gets improved with a fix.

They would have to pry the keys out of my cold dead hands :) Ordered mine the way I wanted it...LTZ, std bed, max tow, 6.2L, all the bells and whistles. 4800 miles, no problems, avg almost 19 MPG, quiet, fast, awesome! I love my truck!

You can't get a 6.2 in the HD trucks

Hahaha! 6.0 only in gas on the 3/4 or get the diesel. Well then. I'll stick with what I got! LOL That seems strange though doesn't it? No bigger 6.2 motor in a 3/4 ton like they do in the 1/2 ton? Oh well :-) Hard to beat what I have anyway. Maybe white with the 6.2 in the 1500 cc with max tow.

Nope there were rumors it would make it into the 2500's but they state it won't because it is an aluminum block.

I put about 10k down when i bought my LTZ 3 weeks ago and will be going to the ford dealer the day a 2015 f150 hits the ground. The truck is great. The new interior was long over due and looks awesome but as far as the mylink and other options goes GM is light years behind ford. LOVE my auto fold mirrors that i have to manually hold down a button to fold in... stuff like that just drives me nuts.... The mylink that has about zero options is just stupid. Hell a ford from 5 years ago you can put a photo of your truck or family as your home page and i can put some screen up that changes the color so i cant read what item i am on or put some Chinese cartoon characters up... ridic

I wouldn't trade mine for 2 Fords.

Wouldn't trade it in for another make / model, but likely would spend more time looking for one with a few more options on it, namely 4x4. I'm in Houston, so it's not all that critical, and add to that MAYBE 1 in 20 on dealer lots that fit my criteria are 4x4, so it would not have been an easy search.

Here in KC it's the opposite. I'd guess that 1 out of 50 is 2-wheel-drive. The reason I traded my 2013 is because I wanted more options. Went from a '13 LT to a '14 LTZ. This is a great truck. Wouldn't trade for anything!

Skeptical about buying a chevy after having two fords before, but I love it so far. I would only trade it in for a 2015 duramax!

I might consider trading it back to get the 6.2L instead of the 5.3L...

Does that count?

That is actually what I am doing. Trading my 2014 5.3 LTZ for a 2014 6.2 High Country. Traded in the 08 vette too, not sure what I will get to replace that, either a 2015 ZL1 convertible or 2015 vette.

    • Yes, and also pulling heavy trailers or a large camper up steep grades as well as descending grades such as the more rustic off road camping locations and using engine braking with that low gearing as well as soft ground can just suck the power . I realize pickups these days tend to have an over all lower first gear ratio compared to automatic transmission pickups from years back so that has helped a lot in its ability in high range but there comes a point if in four wheel drive the torque runs out at the wheels, certainly with a gas engine. They don't put two speed transfer cases on pickups for a cool factor, they have a function if one needs that massive torque to the wheels that high range can't deliver.
    • Notes 7/18/2026   3,400 miles on this batch of Mobil 1 Euro 5W40 since the GDI pump replacement. Alcohol runs very clean when ring seal is tight and the sump isn't getting hosed with fuel. Checked oil level at fill up today as is my practice and grabbed a white Kleenex to look at the color. What color?  I was going to change it but.....
    • 4 low is really nice on steep boat ramps.
    • Interesting, I suspect I would have fueled up in Lee Vining as the day prior I would have filled up either in Laughlin or near there and maybe again before I entered Death Valley and once out the other side late that evening as I kept on driving into the night up near Lee Vining. Next morning I most likely fueled up in LV before heading over Tioga Pass into ( as I refer to it as "Yose .... Mite" 😁 ). And again that was 19 years ago but the price then must not have jumped out at me like the 5 bill a gallon theme of nutty cult hippy country Big Sir or head so far up their rear Aspen. I'd be curious to know where the highest prices are in the lower 48, I probably would not be far off to guess somewhere in Cali forn ie. Coldfoot and Prudhoe bay may have those prices beat but that is a whole other world up there and when prices are more normal elsewhere that is about what they can be up there I believe in no mans land. Anyway interesting that the 395 corridor is hosing people and the thing is, its tourist season and its not like there are a lot of competition options when driving up that highway from what I could see. Yup, big ole Boaterhomes and various other RV's ahead and behind me at the Yosemite entrance gate and they have to get their fuel somewhere.
    • Those can be high, as well as the big California cities. The ones that will pop your eyes out are the 395 corridor on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas. Lee Vining, $7.19 for regular and $8.89 for diesel is what the Google said right now.
