4wd actuators in front differential

Installed the new actuator and still no 4wd.. trying to hunt down a motor now.. uuggghh

It's the motor on the tcase 200$ if my buddy's replacement doesnt match up Sunday

Does the actuator now work? If nothing is I still would suspect the switch. You have to have a friend who you can steal it from to test, these trucks are everywhere.

I read back on the first page that your lights just blink when you try to put it in 4wd. Dads did the same thing, and his problem was the switch. He actually had a melted wire. Had it soldered, and it's worked fine ever since. I'd definitely try to do a switch swap if possible.

My friend mark says he had the same problem because of where the harness for it runs so I'm checking it tomorrow when it's light out

Brother tested the switch and ran some tests. Encoder motor is getting its 5v reference but only putting out 3v to actuator so its not going, thats why it threw a circuit malfunction code before. He can get one from gm for 179 and will be put in thursday. But we're trying to figure out if that's really it. The motor makes a sound like it's trying to engage fails and goes back. So I have no idea whether it's encoder motor or tcase motor.
