I am really itching to get another Vette, but the wife wants another house first plus that is the only way it will work. I would love to find a 2010+ Z06 but she refuses to learn how to drive a manual so I compromised and said if I can order it the way I want it then we can look into a 2015 c7 with the Z51 package. Figure order it and pick it up at the museum and drive it back. That way the dealer and or the transport company cant mess anything up along the way.

Is the compromise getting the paddle shift auto?

If so, IMO, that don't take anything away from the fact that's it's still gonna be one badass 'vette!!

Wont be a 7.0, it will be a 6.2 since this will be a C7 with the Z51. I am pushing for a 2015 or 2016 so I can get the new 8sp auto. As much as I would love a Z06 watching her brutalize the transmission and clutch or the thought of her curbing a $2k+ factory forged wheels makes my stomach churn. The less she has to worry about the better my life is in regards to the vehicles.

im regretting getting a 5.3. I was gonna order a 6.2/6speed but got a good deal on mine, I have since drove a 6.2/8speed and wow! it pulled like my tbss did stock, im jealous of you 6.2 guys

anyways, we are alike my list of cool ones

02 Camaro SS (still have)

01 Sierra denali

07 Tbss traded in for 14 silverado

almost owned a g8 lol

I had a LS1 M-6 GTO, then an '07 AWD TBSS. We now have a '14 CC SB 5.3 with Max Tow. It doesn't have the low end grunt of the TBSS or the power right you need it of the Goat but with the 3.73's it hauls. I miss the TBSS the most. Such a cool car but I had it when premium was $4.00 and it's mpg was s***.

I do wish they had a 6.2 on the lot. For the mileage we're getting with the 5.3 might as well have gone 6.2.

I traded my 07 awd TBSS for this truck. I am SLOWHITE tbssowners.com. With just a tune, intake and ud pulley it went 13.08. I wanted a 6.2 with 8 speed but they are/were on hold. So I got a 5.3 that won't accept e85. I am impressed with this truck though. I didn't really get it to replace the TBSS, just time for something new. I have my eye on a 99 rcsb 2wd 5.3 red silverado with just 27,000 for a new toy to tinker with.

I had an 06 trailblazer ss a couple of sport cars, bought a stroked blown 92 chevy truck I still have. My 14 5.3 on e85 with a tune doesn't cause me to miss driving any of those, and I get close to 22mpg on the hwy on 93 gas.

my '14 has factory 22s and 308s, it needs gears bad I drove a z71 with the 18s and probably 342s and it was a big difference. then I drove a high country 6.2/8speed and WOW it pulled like a stock TBSS. there is a video of a crew cab 6.2 on you tube running 14:1 in the quarter, that's what I ran with my stock awd tbss.... my name on tbssowners is MYOTHERSS

I test drove a 2015 SLT with the 6.2 and 8spd with 3.23 rear end and it ran fine but not as strong as I expected. I also have a 7 spd z51 and it truly is impressive.......granted it only weighs 3,300 lbs. I have a 6.2 with the max tow at code 3000. I hope the lower rear end does a little better.

Its a sickness with no cure, installed enforce, kooks 1/78, kook high flow race cats,3 inch pulley math injection and e85 2015 Sierra denali 6.2. It runs great daily driver, just took a 1000 mile Trip 17.6 mpg. Like I said its a sickness, I orderd a 416 from Texas speed 2 weeks ago looking at adding twin turbo rear mount system. Need to buy a new rear end before install oh yea and a new f-9 up front and a transfer case and so on.

You guys are killing me with all this 6.2L engine talk...!!!

I really wanted the 6.2L, but couldn't justify the additional vehicle and fuel cost this time around. I just did the air intake tube and exhaust.

But my next truck will definitely have the bigger engine with a proper tune.
