You guys are killing me with all this 6.2L engine talk...!!!

I really wanted the 6.2L, but couldn't justify the additional vehicle and fuel cost this time around. I just did the air intake tube and exhaust.

But my next truck will definitely have the bigger engine with a proper tune.

What's a 6.2L engine?... is it this?

Just leave the stock Wrangler SRTs on and you can "rip them loose" with the 4.3l.

I don't know, with tires $1000 a set I can live without grinding the tread off on the ground. (but I used to do such things as a teenager in my Camaro and street rod Monte Carlo, so I get it)

I agree Ryan, I have one in my Denali and the one above in my other ride and they are both amazing!

I'm on my 4th 6.2L. Just made a 1500 mile road trip with 2500 miles on my 2015. I drove in M7 nearly the whole way and still got 20-24 mpg average. I will do a BB tune as the AFM and speed limiter are annoying. Though I did get 95 mph without even trying. I had to really watch my speed.

2007 Escalade ESV sold @ 140K miles (no issues, ever)

2007 GMC Yukon Denali (black) Traded off @ 80K miles

2008 GMC Yukon Denali (summit white with black interior) my son's DD, has 80K miles and no issues.

Came way to close to pulling the trigger on a '15 F150 EB. Then drove it. The Horror.

Almost did the 5.3L Max Tow with 3.73's in the Sierra.

But the 6.2L was calling to me all along, saucy wench.

What do you all running for gears in the 6.2 with the 8speed tranny? Everything I've been looking at has the 3.23s. How are they doing with the 8speed?

3.23 here. With my car hauler attached and about a 7000 lb load it smokes the tires unless I feather the throttle from a stop light..... annoying honestly. And that's all with 10 ply BF KO2's in the oem size. I actually like the axle ratio with the 8 speed.... you have so many gears to play with it works pretty well. I am looking to buy a 3.73 geared 9.76" out of a wrecked truck just to try out..... Another member here did the swap to 3.73 and really likes it. If I have traction problems now while towing I am sure that 3.73 won't help me that way lol. I think it would be a fun gear to play with though. Zero regrets with 3.23's however.

I have the 6.2 max tow with the 3:42 I love it.. other than I can barely burnout. But I'm sure my tune will clear all that up

I have 3.23's with the 8 speed tranny and I like the combo. I'm not interested in regearing, this combo works well IMO.

I have the 3.23's also and they seem to give a nice combination of performance and gas mileage. But, I don't do any towing.
