The car is 45min away that’s the issue. Dealerships do not want to risk cracking tires which I am fine with

But it will be exposed to the elements. That storm doesn't look friendly.  YOUR PAINT IS TAINTED! Tow it home Ryan, Quick!

Sorry, that was mean. Try to get some sleep tonight.

No interest in doing a LS swap into your Camaro?

Been looking into engine swaps in Camaros for the last couple months...might be my next project. Huge fan of the black and blue.

My convertible sat out in Ohio during winter for 2 months. I will have time to detail before spring

I highly recommend this. Helped with a LS3 Cruise and connect package on a buddies ‘69 convertible Camaro and it is fantastic. Of course he has a bunch of frame/suspension upgrades too which really make it fly.

I put a LS376/495 in my 96 Vette. Exactly what it needed. Already handled beautifully, but an extra 160hp really brought her into her own. [emoji106]

The 2012 is an L99

Ryan B.

Which is the same engine as the LS3...the L99 just has AFM & Flex Fuel.

While it shares the same platform as an LS3, the L99 is not the same as an LS3. Different Cam, different Pistons, slightly different compression ratio, less horsepower (400hp vs. 430hp). Besides, swapping an LS3, LS7 or even an LSX isn't going to fix the biggest flaw in tracking Ryan's car, it's a convertible... As he's stated in previous posts, he wanted to swap to a coupe for a more track friendly car. That and swapping to an LS7, doesn't get you the better brakes, or suspension the 1LE has stock.

Ryan did you get the auto or the manual? I hear the auto is the faster of the two.

You can’t get a 1LE with an auto. Manual only

That's right forgot, I just remember reading about the auto being faster. Just forgot they were just SS car's.

Auto is always faster - no human can shift as precise and as quick. That said, at least in '11 when my buddy's Camaro was new, the manual had a few more HP at the crank.

No idea what the engine designation is - all I know is it's a 6.2. Too many damn acronyms today - I can't store them all in my small brain.

That car is a convertible too - guarantee it's faster than anything  out of any factory today. He's got a few goodies under the hood. :)

Not true. Auto's have always had consistency over a manual, but the older manuals are often faster then there auto counterparts, when in the right hands.

Always? Two speeds, three speeds where easily out done in the 1/4 mile by four speed transmission. I ran a few inline shifters in the seventies and eighties. Now the five and six speeds manual was a little more challenging.
