Here are my overdue pics

Haven't put it on yet, looks so nice clean and unbeaten (also note I finally have a year that matches my tin sign I have had since my 69!

Looks better in person, not sure why the flash gave it a brownish hue, if you have ever driven a 4th that have funky steering wheel contours, this took 2 hours to put on(had the thread break a few times.) fxwV4Lu.jpg

So did you challenge or just sit and look pretty? I need to get this thing a little more presentable so I can start going to stuff like that.

I wasn't racing. Just hanging out at the open house Raymond's put on at his new shop. The tracks frown upon convertibles being on the track next car will be a coupe.

SCCA autocross! I would have taken mine last week but the rear seal oil leak could have damaged the clutch.

Speaking of, the oil pan leak still hasn't leaked a drop. It's obvious there is some running down, but two days and not a drop on the ground, I can wait a while.

Really hope they offer a limited pace car edition of the 50th.

Nope they only made two white ones. Al Oppenhauser was at the luncheon and gave the story on it. Ed wellburn was worried the gray 50th wouldn't look good in photos so they made the one (really 2) in a custom white (Cadillac color). No camaro said will be produced in this color.

Shows exactly how stupid they are, they know the 50th doesn't look like a celebration model yet are still selling it. Old GM has RETURNED!

GM has a HORRIBLE track record for pace car/anniversary models since the 70s. The bright purple C5 with bright yellow wheels, The 2016 Corolla and Camry "special editions" are more "special" and have a theme that makes more sense. That's pathetic. Two corvettes(not even mentioning the C4 and C5 pace cars were both purple!) and now two Camaros have been copies, IN a ROW!

Drove to work and then to urgent care with the family. One of the twins slammed his finger in a closet door(playing hide and seek or something) so I let him pick the car to take. He loves the "Flag Car"(either from the Camaro emblem, or the American flag plate on it currently). I asked him why he loves it so much, and he said "cause it's got the Chevy picture"(bowtie).

Oh my.

Started the oil pan project. Idiot that I am, I decided to put it in the third bay so it's out of the way if the fix takes extended time. But it's two feet shorter so I ended up taking an hour to jack it up, having to cram the massive low profile truck grade jack(I just gave away my small racing jack ironically) in tight spaces at odd angles. And then, for some stupid reason, the is a cut out near a jack point you can't see from the side of the car, the same width as the top of a jack stand. Bad design. Luckily I caught it before anything real bad happened, just a little bent metal on the rail cutout.

You know, you can get any car painted any color with a order big enough(fleet order). Group buy time!

Great pics.

I started on the oil pan from hades project. Wheels off, Got the Alternator out(and belt)/, lower strut towers unbolted, sway brackets unbolted, oil and filter drained, airbox and resonator removed(need to upgrade now, a seal in broken in the lid, so either need new foam tape or better option, upgrade to a fast toys 100mm lid for future upgrades) unbolted the steering shaft joint but couldn't get it to move, put the bolt back because a few guys didn't mention they had to do anything with it.

Maybe remove starter later If I have to and try to break the K member bolts loose.

Decided to order energy suspension engine mounts and do those(if they get here in time)while I'm there. If they get here by the weekend, they go in, if not, might just wait unless these are shot
