Maybe just maybe we can all be happy with our Yukons again!!!!

I'm glad to have helped!

Did you suffer pressure in your ears before ? I really can't understand how the exhaust and muffler related to this issue !!

In my case i feel excessive pressure effects my ears and sinuses and harmonic noise in my head especially in low speed. Last week i drive for 2 hours over 110 m/s and noticed that no more pressure in that's speed. The buffeting in my tahoe is hardly to hear it between 60 to 70.

Can someone post links to the latest versions of TSB5318 and 5404? I want to print them off and take them to my dealership. I can't them the get off there butt and get the exhaust upgrade going - they ignore my calls completely now! Might have to drive it into the service bay and have a hissy fit! Lol. (I wouldn't do something like that!)

Thanks

Yes. I had the buffeting/throbbing/low pressure noise inside my head as soon as I was driving it home from purchase. I notified the dealer as soon as I got home. I heard/felt the pressure at speeds between 30-55, mainly when the vehicle shifted and stayed in V4 mode. This is why I would have bet my first born that it was a transmission/harmonic balance issue.

When they told me they were going to try the 2nd exhaust/muffler, I literally rolled my eyes. I knew it had NOTHING to do with that. But I guess I was wrong. Believe me, I was in complete shock that it fixed the issue.

I am not sure where to find them...but is was the 5404B service bulletin that finally fixed mine.

Called my dealership and he says the new exhaust in PIT5404 is only for 5.3L engines.

There's no new exhaust for 6.2L.

Sucks.

i tuned my car and cancel v4 v8 mode and installed a custom catback also replaced the tires with another brand, car runs much better than before but still have some vibration spiealy on 60 to 80 mph.

I'd be interested in knowing how many of you having the booming and buffeting are 5.3 or 6.2 since the exhaust is a 5.3 only fix.

The bulletin the dealer showed me told the dealer to remove a muffler from another new vehicle on their lot and try it on the 6.2l. If it works order a replacement muffler. The bulletin dealt with both engines.

My 2015i Suburban is at the dealer right now addressing multiple issues including this one. I am going to give them the new PIT number and will report back. Thanks for the detail!

If there's anyway you can call your dealer and ask for the PIT number that includes the 6.2L exhaust, it would be greatly appreciated.

My dealer insists that the exhaust fox is only for 5.3s and the Active Noise Cancellation is the issue on the 6.2s.

They've had the truck 28 days now at the dealer ship and are still trying to balance the sake shitty f******** tires.

Does anyone know where to find the build date of the vehicle? I looked on the tire placard on the door and didn't see anything.

Pretty sure it is on the window sticker.

On the bottom corner of the drivers side door. There a sticker with a 4 digit month/year.

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
