I think this is a common issue in all the 2014+. I have it on the 4.3 also.

I'm guessing that all that thing is doing is making 1/2 throttle appear to the engine as 3/4 throttle, etc......

Might work for you though.

I think the throttle response of the new 6.2 it's10 times better than the 07-13 6.2's, mine is anyway.

Ron, et al,

When I was trying to eliminate lag on my 2008 vmax, I discovered it was mainly a transmission downshift lag. To check this, try driving with the transmission in the manual shift mode. I think you'll be surprised. The problem with changing the downshift logic is that it will have a big impact on fuel economy.

Its quite possible most people are confusing throttle lag with TM or traction control, more so with the 6.2. My 5.3 on E85 with a caned tune with break the tires easily up to a 30 mph downshift on certain roads. If you running a 342 or 373 gear even with a rolling take off your going to spin the tires. Try turning off the TC.

I don't have personal experience with it in my own personal truck but I drove a 5.3 with that throttle booster installed the dealership was using them and it was definitely noticeable. I dunno if it tm or not but it just felt like to me the first 10% of throttle travel seems to not respond to much kinda like a dead man switch, always have to have your foot on it to do anything, the throttle booster worked but I think their kinda spendy for just that 1 function but was nice.

From the looks of this thing, it's simply an artificial advance on the throttle signal. Ie, it intercepts the signal, adds 10%, etc, and fires it off to the ecu/throttle body. So it's not eliminating any throttle lag, it's simply opening the throttle more for a certain gas pedal position than stock. Pretty pricy if that is all that it's doing, just push the gas pedal faster.

GM usually puts a dead spot at the bottle end to allow you to roll into throttle more, ie, help prevent lurching and smoking the tires from a stop when you hit the gas pedal.

For the actual throttle/acceleration lag, an ECU tune and transmission tune can easily fix it. A transmission tune helps the truck kick down more quickly, and the ECU tune helps in quite a few different ways, one of which is reducing the PE (power enrichment, ie, open loop fueling) cycle lag time when you go to wide open throttle.

The lag I experience is feeling like I have to push the pedal down about 3/4 of an inch before the throttle engages at all. From a dead stop its really bad compared to my other vehicles.

How long have you been using the SprintBooster?

For what it does it's a bit pricey however if it truly makes the driving experience more enjoyable I would say its worth it!
