Just picked up my 2015 Sierra 1500 Denali

Here's a photo of my actual truck. I can't seem to get the black wheels to show well due to the overcast, but hopefully this is reasonably clear.

700 miles on it and so far, so good. I've noticed a few nit-picky things folks have mentioned on here, such as the delay when stepping on the accelerator and a several-second delay when trying to advance or reverse through songs on my iPhone play lists when using either the steering wheel control or the audio display screen controls.

My biggest complaint is having to use the key fob and the key to enter and start the truck! (Half kidding...) I'm coming from a car that was completely keyless - pull the door handle with the key in my pocket and it would automatically unlock the vehicle, then press a button to start and I'm off and running. I didn't realize what a convenience that was until I had to fumble for a key again. Honestly, not that big of a deal and I'll re-acclimate, I'm sure.

We loaded dirt bikes in and out of the bed this past weekend, making no special precautions for the spray-in liner. It did get marked up a bit, and dirty, of course. Most of it cleaned right off with regular car wash soap and a large, soft-bristled brush, but not all of the marks came off. I used a more-aggressive brush on the tailgate, and pretty much everything cleaned right up. The spray-in liner does not appear to be scratched or hacked up in any way, but it sure does mark-up easily. I guess that should be expected, since it's white. As long as it cleans up nicely, even if a little elbow grease is required, I can live with that. I'll hit it w/ a low-pressure power washer next time to see if that makes it easier to clean up.

I am a little disappointed in the lack of grip from this liner. My last truck had one of those rubber mats and items used to stay put under normal driving conditions. My plastic fuel cans were sliding around on this liner, but a steel can stayed reasonably well in place. This is the first truck I've had with a spray-in liner, so my only judgement is vs. a gripper mat, which was amazing at keeping things in place, and the plastic drop-in liners, which were way worse than this. Not sure if a regular, non-color-matched Line-X liner would have more grip?

Unloaded groceries last night after a trip to the local wholesale club and I really like the LED lights in the bed. Those are a nice touch.

Enjoy your new ride! I love those wheels! Wish I had gotten them on my truck. Not sure if they would look as sweet on the Sonoma Red but they sure look nice on the white trucks. By the way, glad you got the clear bra. Best money I've spent on my truck so far.

Magoomba, great looking truck. Which tonneau cover did you go with?

The GMC hard, tri-folding cover. I like it, but it is a bit heavy. I had a soft tri-fold on my last truck and it was nice and easy to take off/put on, but it proved to be less durable than I hoped. This one seems like it will hold up much better, particularly when it gets loaded up with snow in the winter, but the weight is an apparent trade-off.

Thank you! I saw what I believe was a Sonoma red Silverado with these wheels passing by a local Chevy dealer this past weekend. It looked good, but they definitely have more of a "pop" on the lighter colored trucks. I had first seen these wheels on a black All Terrain that belongs to a friend of a friend and I didn't notice them at first, but when I did, I knew I would like them on my white truck. When the truck arrived, it looked even better to me than I had expected, so I'm pumped on them.

I get your comments about passive unlock and push button start. There is a thread about it around here somewhere -- some like it and some don't. (I'm a fan, we like it on the vehicle that has it)

I agree, as I was in the same boat..my solution? I leave the key in the ignition

and just carry my fob in my pocket. of course, depending on the crime in your area that

may not be plausible. car thefts are rare around here, but the truck stays locked, figured if

somebody wants it, there gonna get it regardless... besides, what do I pay all the insurance for

anyways?!

Just curious, if key is left in ignition will key fob work on the first push of the button to lock? I had an older truck that required a second push to confirm you wanted to lock with key in ignition.

One other difference is that with the push button start system, the vehicle will auto lock when you walk away.

I agree, it's only a crutch lol. I loved the push button start on my old z06.

i do know that if you leave the key in ignition like I do, and lock the truck with the fob..no horn honk reminder.. very odd lol. also if you want to eliminate the dinging while key is in ignition, pull the key out half way and reinsert... no more dinging while door is open and key in ignition...
