Take a look at Cooper ZEON LTZ's I ran two sets on my 07 model and got about 45K miles a set. Mostly Highway miles and they are quiet and aggressive.

I too ran the Zeon LTZ's and they were an awesome tire!

Best??? Who knows. But the most popular tire around here lately has been the new bfg ko2. Those where the one's i picked. Very happy with them just 8,000 miles so far. It was such a tough decision tho 4a6e48aec5439aae01c9adfd0f40f542.jpgd91986ded6f9f068e0314f62d55eeab1.jpg

Have any of you guys traded in your oem tires toward new ones? I've seen a few people around the forum mention they have done this. I am curious if this is a common thing shops will do, or if it's only at certain big name places.

Put em on CL, I'd think you should be able to get between 3-350 no problem for such new tires.

While they may be only $100 qulaity wise, the lowest I found a 275/55/20 brand new is $140, and as high as $185. Now the tire shop would be haggle-free, but you should be able to get more on CL.

If I could maybe get more of CL than trading them in, I may just buy new ones and hope I sell the old ones. Just don't wanna get stuck with another set of oem tires to add to the storage building that I didn't/couldn't sell lol. I've got 3 sets in there right now all from different vehicles, that's why I asked about the trade in.

I agree with you idea of getting a trade-in return. I've ended up giving away wheels and tires from past trucks. I have my OEM AT wheels in the garage right now. I believe I've given them away to my brother. I hope he picks them up soon, otherwise I'll deliver them. The tires went to the gardener. I'm not storing that crap for long.

Like I said, the trade-in will be hassle free, but it wouldn't hurt to put them on CL, and if you get someone who wants them, then tell them it will be a day or two until you can get your new ones. I really don't see how you wouldn't be able to sell them for $300. Maybe I've just had better luck with selling things on CL.

I take it you just wanted to hook your brother up? You could sell those for sure for some descent change.

It's just a hassle to deal with.

Well I guess back on topic now, always been a fan of BFG, but those st maxx look great too!! I've never ran coopers, but I'm digging them! These oem tires are coming off either way I look at it. Tried pulling up to a different spot in a buddy's paved driveway on a hill to let his wife in the garage this evening after some rain, and spun out all over the place, unacceptable. These will either get traded/sold/stored/whatever. If all goes as planned, I'll have new shoes before February 1

Toyo AT2 Xtreme's.

Ive had numerous sets of the BF KO's on my tahoe, got these new on my sierra and the AT2's blow them out of the water in rain and especially in the mud.

Let me necro this thread a little bit... Any updates on the tires? I'm currently looking at six different tires: Falken Wildpeak AT01, Dick Cepek Fun Country, Nitto Terra Grappler G2, Toyo Open Country R/T, BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2, and General Grabber AT2. I would venture a guess and say they all perform about the same. Is that true? Would my decision then be made on looks and price?

On pavement ... Sure. Hard dirt ... Maybe. Mud ... Not so much. Sand ... Not so much.
