Puddle lamps and dome light jumper wire mod

Ok. You can perform the Cargo/Reverse Light Diode mod to achieve that then. As long as you're ok with the Cargo lamp (by the 3rd brake light) and bed lights (if equipped) come on as well.

It would be the diode between the brown and pink connector like Shawn below.

Hope this helps.

After installing this everything will function normally I don't care if the cargo light and bed lights come on basically the same thing hitting the cargo switch. But if I hit my cargo switch in the cab my reverse lights will probably come on as well correct

Nope. The diode only flows Power one way. So if you push the Cargo button, the reverse lights will not come on. So make sure the stripe of the diode faces the right way like pictured.

Also keep in mind his mod is not jumping power, it is jumping the switched grounds for their relays.

That's what's nice about having a ground switched vehicle I added the axillary switches in my truck which worked amazingly with weather proof bussmann mini fuse and relay box

I didn't know at the time I was messing around in the BCM that this mod was switching the ground relays. I tried adding an LED to that line and nothing... I measured looking for positive Voltage and nothing. Lol. Then more digging into the schematics and figured it out that way.

I added the Auxiliary switches in my truck. I used this to switch my devices for my trailer work lights. I love ground switched trucks

When I get some time I'm going to go get some diodes and I'm going to try this modification and I will definitely let you know how it worked out hopefully it works for me

I've helped a member locally perform this mod as well as @Black Denali Canada doing the same. I have a simulation video as well showing on some temp wired LEDs.

For the price of the denali or even the $72K High Country, you would think these trucks would have all the toys for that Price price tag. Its funny how the GM/Chevy W/T trucks have the options that you wish you could get in your truck. HAHAHAHAHHA

Yes is does everything is functioning like it should if were from the factory. The only thing I would like to do is have the LEDs come on when I'm in reverse and possibly have them come on while using the key fob unlock lock function it just sucks trying to remember to hit the cargo light switch

If you jumper the 26 pin on the pink and brown connector under the dash it should make those come on together.

Ok maybe you guys can help me out. I am wanting to add lights under my truck for hunting and also loading and unloading at night. I'm wanting the lights to come on when the inside dome lights are on. My question is what would be the best way to do it. I'm guessing have a relay but not sure where to get the power to hit the relay. Hope that makes sense to you guys.

Wish my mirrors came with the puddle lamps, guess I'll have to fab something up cause I miss that feature. Had them on my 01 Tahoe and loved it especially after I swapped the bulb out for an LED bulb. Anyone here add an LED of some sort to their mirrors??

Guys, Can anyone tell me what wire the “brake lights” (when applied brakes) on the bcm, the pin number and what block it is in so I can hook my running board lights up.  Currently have it connected to the center console light, as door open it comes on. Would also like it to come on when at a stop. ?
